Point South KOA, Yemassee, South Carolina

Date of Stay: December, 2017 - $59.00
Overall Rating:

Conveniently located just off of I95. Fairly easy to get to, glad there were some signs up. Only stayed one night on our way to Florida, so we didn't get to see much of the park itself. Staff was very nice. We would stay here again. We camped at Point South KOA in a Fifth Wheel.

Pinch Pond Family Campground & RV Park, Manheim, Pennsylvania

Date of Stay: November, 2017 - $47.00
Overall Rating:

We made our reservation Sep 13, 2017 online for Thanksgiving 2017. The online reservation program and Pinch Ponds own website made no mention of water being turned off for winter. We thought we would have full hook-ups as stated on the reservation confirmation. Even when we arrived, the staff didn't mention that the water had been turned off. We didn't know there was no water until after the RV was leveled, slides were out and I went to hook up the water. I completely understand the need to turn off the water and winterize certain areas of campgrounds - that is certainly not the issue. The issue is that we were not notified ahead of time. The staff was able to run a hose to our site so that we could fill our tank. We made the best of it and didn't let it ruin our Thanksgiving. As far as the Campground goes, it has a mixture of seasonal and nonseasonal. Some of the seasonal sites are rundown and messy. Our site was sloped to driver's side and we had to put the wheels on blocks to get the auto level to work properly. Trash dumpster was overflowing. Office/store building was nice, but other buildings were run down and in need of repair. Most likely will not return due to inadequate communication from the staff, noise from I-76 and an adjoining shooting range (even Thanksgiving day, range was active). We camped at Pinch Pond Family Campground & RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

By far, our favorite campgrounds. We stay here every year for Halloween and have an absolute blast with our kids. The staff is always great and very accommodating. New water slides coming for 2018! We camped at Yogi Bear's Jellystone Park at Luray in a Fifth Wheel.

Chincoteague Island KOA (formerly Maddox Family Campground), Chincoteague, Virginia

Date of Stay: September, 2017 - $82.00
Overall Rating:

Wonderful place to stay. We stayed 3 nights, Thu-Sat. Lots to do around the area. Staff was great. Sites were somewhat uneven and sewer connections seemed a bit higher than normal. Price also seemed a bit high for Sept time frame. All in all, a goof trip and we will return. We camped at Chincoteague Island KOA (formerly Maddox Family Campground) in a Fifth Wheel.
