Alsatian Resort & Golf Club, Castroville, Texas

Date of Stay: November, 2017 - $35.00
Overall Rating:

Pretty clean except for upper deck off pool, it had lots of stinky bird poop that was not ever cleaned, making it unusable. Washers and dryers were hit or miss for reliability. Would quit working several times but never repaired. Site was clean and level. Had a patio table and chairs provided, but had to fix table so it was level. Not the friendliest or most helpful management. They drove around in golf carts a lot, but seemed to miss many things that could have used attention. The worst part is that a guy built a huge wooden deck/stairs attached to his RV, even though the rules state it is not allowed by county ordinance. This is precisely the kind of place we try to avoid, because then everyone starts junking up their site. No access to workout equipment after office hours. Several people let their dogs run without leash. I think if they want to keep Resort in their name, they need to step up their maintenance and enforce the long list of rules they give you. Not sure we would stay for more than a night or two due to this, especially since their price is fairly high compared to others. We camped at Alsatian Resort & Golf Club in a Motorhome.
