Double Adobe Campgrounds, McNeal, Arizona

Date of Stay: June, 2018 - $25.00
Overall Rating:

The park is located near Bisbee and Toumbstone AZ. Park is very quiet and clean, wildlife abounds. A group of deer came into the campground each night to snack on the green grass. The camp owners (managers) were very friendly and helpful. Easy access to large campsites with fully functional hookups; power was stable. Would stay here again. We camped at Double Adobe Campgrounds in a Motorhome.

Desert Trails RV Park (40+ park), Tucson, Arizona

Date of Stay: March, 2018 - $35.00
Overall Rating:

I really liked this park. Stayed 4 nights and wish I could have stayed longer. We were in space C-4 and had lots of space, but I could see that other spaces were not as spacious. The park is built on top of a closed water park, and some water park artifacts remain. Our space backup up to the desert and the views of the mountains were stunning. The RV compound is next to state park land with well marked hiking trails. The park has lot's (really a lot) of cactus gardens that feel natural and are beautiful. Everyone I met was very friendly and we were invited to happy hour by multiple campers. The office staff was very helpful and informative, they have tons on information concerning surrounding activities. I will definitely return to Desert Trails. We camped at Desert Trails RV Park (40+ park) in a Motorhome.

Little Vineyard RV Park & Resort, Deming, New Mexico

Date of Stay: January, 2018 - $30.00
Overall Rating:

Little Vinyard R.V. Park, Deming, New Mexico. $30.00. This park was one of several clustered together and looked to be the better of the lot. The park is easy to access with the office at the entrance. The office staff are friendly and helpful and our assigned space was large and level. The hookups were in good condition and worked properly. The park was clean as were the laundry and bath facilities. The WiFi worked well, although the signal was a bit weak probably due to our location. The cable TV was clear with many channels. The park is a large gravel lot with a few small trees. I would stay here again if I needed and overnight in the Deming area. We camped at Little Vineyard RV Park & Resort in a Motorhome.

Buck Creek RV Park, Abilene, Texas

Date of Stay: December, 2017 - $33.00
Overall Rating:

Buck Creek R.V. Park, Abilene, Texas. $33.00. When we arrived at about 1:30 PM the office was locked with a note on the door telling us our space number and to drop our payment through a slot in the wall. I should have just moved on down the road, but we were tired and wanted to eat lunch, so I deposited our payment and pulled into our inside space, which was very spacious. I connected the electricity and wanted to fill our water holding tank, but the water had been shut off due to a freeze warning that night. Normally this would not have been a big deal, we would just use the facilities at the park, my second mistake. The restroom looked like they had been used by a team of truckers who just returned from a mexican food buffet. We would have been better off at a Walmart parking lot. Would not stay here again. We camped at Buck Creek RV Park in a Motorhome.

Shallow Creek Golf & RV Resort, Gladewater, Texas

Date of Stay: December, 2017 - $30.00
Overall Rating:

Shallow Creek R.V. Resort, Gladewater, Texas. $29.70. This R.V. park is about 1.5 miles off of I-20 and is easily accessible. The park is very nice with lots of amenities (Pool, hot tub, small water park, gym, golf). The restroom/showers were clean and private. The park is very well maintained with a full time staff. Cable TV and WiFi were outstanding; a speed test on the WiFi delivered download speeds of 28Mbps, best I've seen at an R.V. park. Sites are large and paved with a paved patio and a small strip of grass; hookups are in excellent condition. We were in site 45 which was long enough for a unhooked toad. We only stayed one night, but I could easily spend more time in this R.V. park. We camped at Shallow Creek Golf & RV Resort in a Motorhome.

Magnolia RV Park Resort, Vicksburg, Mississippi

Date of Stay: December, 2017 - $29.00
Overall Rating:

Magnolia RV Park, Jackson, MS. $29.00. This park is OK for an overnight stay, but no longer than that. Mostly long term residents or seasonal occupants. There appears to be 6 or 8 pull through spots for short term or overnight guests. The utilities were functional and in good working order, although the water pressure was a bit weak. Our spot (No. 8) was level and clean. The spots are very close together, we were fortunate that the spots on either side of us was empty, so enough space was available, but if they were occupied then it would have been tight. The park has a nice dog park and play lot with play ground equipment for children, although no children were seen. There is a pool but it was closed for the season. The park manager mentioned a gym, but we did not use it. There is a video library and book exchange in the office. The park was clean and looked to be adequately maintained. Easy access to I-20 without the noise. I would overnight here again. We camped at Magnolia RV Park Resort in a Motorhome.

Sunset Travel Park, Cottondale, Alabama

Date of Stay: December, 2017 - $32.00
Overall Rating:

Sunset RV Park in Cottondale, AL. $32.00. There are two parts to this location; the office is located on the west side, which looks to be occupied by longer term seasonal occupants; after check-in we were directed to the east side across JVC Road, we were assigned a pull through spot that was easy to access. The pull through spots all have a cement patio and a small strip of grass. The hook-ups were also on a cement pad, which is nicely mud-free. The power was stable, and the WiFi and cable worked very well. The park was clean and mostly quite, with slight amount of highway noise which we could not hear while in the coach. The park is a good overnight stop, but could not imagine myself spending more time than that. I would stay here again if passing this way in the future. We camped at Sunset Travel Park in a Motorhome.

Still Meadow RV Park, Mt. Vernon, Texas

Date of Stay: December, 2017 - $31.00
Overall Rating:

Still Meadow RV Park in Mt. Vernon, Texas. A few miles off the highway and next to a cemetery should make for a quite stay, and mostly it was. Only complaint in the number of diesel pickup trucks that drove through the park. The staff was friendly, the shower/restrooms appeared to be new and are large and very clean. Would stay again. We camped at Still Meadow RV Park in a Motorhome.

Whip In RV Park, Big Spring, Texas

Date of Stay: December, 2017 - $30.00
Overall Rating:

An overnight stay; park was clean, pet friendly with a nice dog play area. The owner and other guest we met were very friendly. There are about 6 to 8 pull through spots used by overnight guest (easy access), others in the park are mostly seasonal snowbirds. Park was mostly quite, however there was a slight amount of highway noise that could we could hear while outside, but not while in the RV. Would recommend and stay here again. We camped at Whip In RV Park in a Motorhome.

Rancho Sedona RV Park, Sedona, Arizona

Date of Stay: November, 2017 - $93.00
Overall Rating:

First the good part: The RV Park was very well kept and clean; nice mature trees with a creek running along the edge of the property. A short walking distance to to nearby tourist shopping. Now the bad: Very overpriced, lots of extra charges; $10 per extra person per night, $2 for each pet per night. These extra charges are unnecessary, there are no amenities that would be used by extra people of the pets to justify the extra costs. The office staff are very stern and not at all friendly, they go over all of the rules with you when you at check in, there are a lot of rules. They even ask you to sign a document stating that you understand the many rules pertaining to your pet. To sum things up, very nice RV Park but not worth the cost. We camped at Rancho Sedona RV Park in a Motorhome.
