Curt Gowdy State Park, Cheyenne, Wyoming

Date of Stay: October, 2018 - $22.00
Overall Rating:

Beautiful park half way between Cheyenne and Laramie. Water and 50 amp at some sites with picnic table and fire ring. Great hiking all around. Peaceful, quiet Wyoming camping at it's best. We camped at Curt Gowdy State Park in a Motorhome.

Cherry Creek State Park, Aurora, Colorado

Date of Stay: October, 2018 - $38.00
Overall Rating:

I could stay here for months. This 4,000 acre park is an oasis in Denver. Beautiful trees and green spaces make this one of the best parks we have ever stayed at. We had a big pull through site with full hookups and 50 amp power. They have WiFi which is hit or miss, but the fact that a state park has WiFi tells you how much effort they have put into the campground area of this park. If you can get a reservation here, stay as long as you can and make great memories by the campfire with your family. We camped at Cherry Creek State Park in a Motorhome.

Air Capital RV Park, Wichita, Kansas

Date of Stay: October, 2018 - $48.00
Overall Rating:

This is not a campground. No trees, picnic tables, fire pits, or a reasonable amount of grass. This place is more of a real nice concrete parking lot than a campsite. It is a wonderful place for an overnight pull through spot on a journey to a destination campsite. It is one of the better options for staying in Wichita however. It is less than 15 minutes from downtown. We camped at Air Capital RV Park in a Motorhome.

Croton Point Park, Croton on Hudson, New York

Date of Stay: July, 2018 - $35.00
Overall Rating:

One of the better options when visiting NYC, but I don't plan on returning. The electricity to the campground was intermittent, which posted a big problem on hot days. Most sites are on the small size for a big rig. The campsite is in need of renovation and investment. The county Park as a whole is huge and attracts hundreds and hundreds of people on the weekends. The train station is nearby, but probably too far to walk for most folks. The dumpster area is pretty rough. If the fix the electrical problems, I might give them a look again, but I don't see that happening anytime soon. We camped at Croton Point Park in a Motorhome.

Cross Creek Camping Resort, Delaware, Ohio

Date of Stay: July, 2018 - $50.00
Overall Rating:

Cross Creek is a real jewel. Not all sites are created equal, but 137 is an amazing pull through near the entrance with all the amenities you could ask for. There are tons of activities for the kids: pool, playground, jump pad, etc. Great customer service. I would stay here again and again. We camped at Cross Creek Camping Resort in a Motorhome.

Harbortown RV Resort, Monroe, Michigan

Date of Stay: July, 2018 - $48.00
Overall Rating:

One of the best options when visiting Detroit. It takes between 45 minutes to one hour to get to Motor City from the campground. The campground is nice, clean, has great customer service. Great full hookups, concrete pads, picnic tables, fire rings. Nice swimming pool, basketball, sand volleyball court as well. The negatives for me were the sites we're close together which made us feel we we're in a sea of RV's. The campground just feels a little generic and lacks character. No mature trees or anything that gives it a campground feel. More of an RV park. I wouldn't hesitate to stay here again, but it is not a memorable spot. We camped at Harbortown RV Resort in a Motorhome.

Lone Pine Campsites, Colchester, Vermont

Date of Stay: June, 2018 - $53.00
Overall Rating:

A wonderful park all around. I really love their all grass campsites. We had a beautiful shade tree next to us as well as a picnic table and fire pit. Great open spaces for people to enjoy. Great playground for the kids. Pool, miniature golf, pedal carts, and plenty to do. Close to the lake and Burlington, VT. Only negative I can think of is the proximity to interstate 89. This keeps it from being an absolutely quiet, serene place like a national park would offer, but the noise isn't enough to keep me from coming back again. I highly recommend this place, especially site 146! We camped at Lone Pine Campsites in a Motorhome.

Pensacola Beach RV Resort, Gulf Breeze, Florida

Date of Stay: March, 2018 - $58.00
Overall Rating:

Wonderful RV park for a trip to the beach. This place is a 3 min walk across the street to some of the most beautiful white beaches in America. The sites are level concrete pads with great hookups. Some nice palm trees throughout. Most of the sites are filled by nice motor coaches. Minutes away from plenty of great restaurants. One of the best Florida beach parks you'll find. Gunter Hill COE, Montgomery, Alabama

Date of Stay: March, 2018 - $26.00
Overall Rating:

An absolutely beautiful campground will full hookups, huge level concrete pads, beautiful trees, picnic table, fire ring, charcoal grill, on a beautiful river... I could go on and on. Only negative is that you are not very close to any restaurants or grocery stores (25 mi. drive). Roads are big and in impeccable shape. Easy to get our big rig around. Friendly neighbors. Cute little playground for the kiddos. I would stay here again and again while in the Montgomery area. We camped at Gunter Hill COE in a Motorhome.

Pontchartrain Landing, New Orleans, Louisiana

Date of Stay: February, 2018 - $41.00
Overall Rating:

I'm very happy with my choice to stay Pontchartrain Landing during my visit to New Orleans. The park itself I would rate a 9, but the location I would rate a 6. They are located on a road with some abandoned shipping industrial sites. Getting to the French Quarter takes about 20 minutes. Staff is very helpful and take great pride in their RV park. Wi-fi was not very functional, but we had great cell service. Hookups were great and easy. I would stay here again. I did consider the other park in the French Quarter that costs a fortune, but after driving by that one, I am glad I picked the Pontchartrain. We camped at Pontchartrain Landing in a Motorhome.

Timberlake Campground, Brandon, Mississippi

Date of Stay: February, 2018 - $25.00
Overall Rating:

Nice park north of Jackson. It was challenging for us to maneuver our big rig through the park to get to our site. Most of the best spots with views of the lake are occupied by long-term residents and therefore would make it a great place to stay for a few months. No working wi-fi. Management is friendly and helpful. Great grocery store across the street and plenty of nearby restaurants. It is about a 20 minute drive into downtown Jackson. We camped at Timberlake Campground in a Motorhome.

Bar H Bar RV Park, Seminole, Oklahoma

Date of Stay: February, 2018 - $25.00
Overall Rating:

Perfect place to stay the night during a trip. Easy access from the interstate with big, level concrete spots and full hookups too! Nothing at all fancy, but it is a big step up from an interstate rest stop. We didn't even have to disconnect our tow vehicle on our great pull through site. The facility is behind a gas station / convenience store if you need basic items . There is a pretty good restaurant in the same parking lot with some good country cooking. We camped at Bar H Bar RV Park in a Motorhome.

Treasure Isle RV Park, Hot Springs, Arkansas

Date of Stay: January, 2018 - $45.00
Overall Rating:

Management is top notch! Location is about 20 minutes to "downtown" and in not the best area. The sites on the water are great, but there are only about 8 of those. The rest are up the road a little and we wouldn't stay there again if it wasn't at one of those water spots (priced a little high at $45/night). We camped at Treasure Isle RV Park in a Motorhome.

Roadrunner RV Park, Oklahoma City, Oklahoma

Date of Stay: January, 2018 - $35.00
Overall Rating:

This place looks brand new. Hookups as nice as you'll find anywhere, level pull through concrete pads, plenty of room for slides, well lit, good price. The only thing I could say negative about it is that there aren't any trees/vegetation and you hear a train horn in the distance fairly regularly. I would stay here again without hesitation next time I'm in OKC. We camped at Roadrunner RV Park in a Motorhome.
