Crazy Horse RV Park, Tucson, Arizona

Date of Stay: March, 2017 - $30.00
Overall Rating:

This is an old RV Park that has had no repairs or improvements since it was first built. The sites are too small for the newer units which makes you very close to your neighbors. There are "permanent residents" inter mingled with overnight guests and as usual they have personal items spread all around their units. The dog walk is a vacant field that is nothing but weeds, broken glass and dog feces, as nothing is picked up out there. By the way, they charge extra for your pet. The Park is located in a pretty bad area. Good points about it are several. It is quiet at night and the staff is very nice and helpful. It is not that far from Downtown so shopping is easy to get to. We won't be staying here again. We depended on the Good Sam RV Travel Guide and their ratings system. We camped at Crazy Horse RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Pueblo South / Colorado City KOA, Pueblo, Colorado

Date of Stay: October, 2014 - $46.00
Overall Rating:

This park and the staff truly deserve a rating of 10. From the phone call to reserve a site to the parking of our unit, the experience was great. Dog run was convenient to our site. Hook-ups were placed in easy to use positions and site was level without any bumps to navigate. So many parks are "ratings challenged" that it was a treat to actually stay in a 10. We'd stay here again. We camped at Pueblo South / Colorado City KOA in a Fifth Wheel.

Triple J RV Park, Russell, Kansas

Date of Stay: October, 2014 - $35.00
Overall Rating:

Park is handy to I-70 off and back on with fuel right next door. There are restaurants and fast food within walking distance. Laundry is amazing, so many washers and dryers at reasonable prices. Office is a little scary and could stand a cleaning but owner was very friendly. Reindeer quite unusual for any Park let alone a Kansas Park. Dog walking is nice. We'd stay here again if in the area. We camped at Triple J RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Lynnville Park Campground, Lynnville, Indiana

Date of Stay: October, 2014 - $22.00
Overall Rating:

This campground is the only one in the area so it's not a big choice as to where to stay. It's untidy with construction workers living here. The area has an unpleasant smell that could be due to the lake. The sites are not level, crowning in the middle so you either have your front up high or you have to park backwards and all hook-ups are under your unit. Trash is on the ground and needs picked up. We will not stay here again. We camped at Lynnville Park Campground in a Fifth Wheel.

Robert Newlon Airpark RV Park, Huntington, West Virginia

Date of Stay: October, 2014 - $29.00
Overall Rating:

This Park was listed in the Passport America directory. When checking in, we asked for PA rates and was told that the Park wouldn't be accepting it until next month. My directory was for the current year and was published last year. So I fail to see how this could all be true. The electricity fluctuated all evening and we had to turn one item off when we turned on another appliance. Recent rains had left puddles standing in the sites so difficult to sit up. Good dog walk along the River. Rather narrow street leading out to the campground. We probably wouldn't stay here again. We camped at Robert Newlon Airpark RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Candy Hill Campground, Winchester, Virginia

Date of Stay: October, 2014 - $42.00
Overall Rating:

A beautiful campground with pleasant young people working at the counter and parking the units. We needed LP. An employee came to our site, picked up the tank, filled it and brought it back to us. The hook-ups are a tad weird. They are shared with side by side parking and you have to go under your unit with hoses and cords. Wonderful dog walk with a large fenced area for them to run and exercise. It's easy to find and easy to continue on the next morning. WalMart is close. We would stay here again. We camped at Candy Hill Campground in a Fifth Wheel.

Winding Hills Campground, Montgomery, New York

Date of Stay: October, 2014 - $35.00
Overall Rating:

The extra fee for out of county residents is a bit much. The electricity kept fluttering and was not dependable to leave on during the night. Maps and any information were not available. We looked into the bath houses and it wasn't a hard decision NOT to use them. They are filthy and smell. We will drive on rather than stay here again. We camped at Winding Hills Campground in a Fifth Wheel.

Charlottesville KOA, Charlottesville, Virginia

Date of Stay: October, 2014 - $43.00
Overall Rating:

We've stayed here before so coming back wasn't really a big decision. This park has a very clean laundry with 4 washers and 4 dryers. The parking pattern is not to squeeze units in side by side so it's really a treat to stay here. Good long dog walk and they provide pick-up bags, so owners please pick up! This Campground is close to all the attractions and town. The office has a hand-out that has directions for shopping, etc. We would stay here again if in the area. We camped at Charlottesville KOA in a Fifth Wheel.

Gold Brook Campground, Stowe, Vermont

Date of Stay: October, 2014 - $42.00
Overall Rating:

This is a beautiful campground with sites fully grassed. Water, sewer, electric, and cable all work great. Laundry, bathrooms, and showers are a disgrace. We use our bathrooms in our RV but the tenters do not have that option. The owner was a rude, unkind man both on the phone and in person. We would stay here again if in the area. It is so handy to attractions nearby. We camped at Gold Brook Campground in a Fifth Wheel.

Red Hills State Park, Sumner, Illinois

Date of Stay: September, 2014 - $20.00
Overall Rating:

This is a State Park with little or no repairs having been done in a while. They have water available to fill your tanks before parking and a dump station. The trails along the lake are nice to walk the dog. You can purchase firewood from camp host, We didn't go over but there was a restaurant on the opposite side of the lake. You could get limited antenna TV even with the trees. We camped at Red Hills State Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Greenwood Lodge and Campsites, Bennington, Vermont

Date of Stay: September, 2014 - $32.00
Overall Rating:

If this campground had sewer, it would be perfect. The owners are very pleasant and the campsites are well developed. Big grassy areas to walk the dog beside the roads and trails. The scenery in the fgall is beautiful. Close to Bennington and Manchester so you can go either direction to find shopping or attractions. We would return again and again. We camped at Greenwood Lodge and Campsites in a Fifth Wheel.

Kellystone Park, Nineveh, New York

Date of Stay: September, 2014 - $30.00
Overall Rating:

This Park is located out in the Country. It's rather a long way to go for a 1 night stay. The Park itself is nice with a full grassy area to park, walk and even play golf. Owner was pleasant when I called and we checked in. Lots of Seasonals but area very clean and well kept. We would stay again if not in a rush to move on down the highway. We camped at Kellystone Park in a Fifth Wheel.

New Lisbon Family Campground, Straughn, Indiana

Date of Stay: September, 2014 - $17.00
Overall Rating:

We've stayed here before and it's easy on and off I-70 yet the highway noise doesn't seem loud. The area to walk the dog is great. Staff was nice and friendly upon check-in. Laundry wasn't so great as only 1 dryer with 2 washers, but it did run for 60 mins. We would stay here again. We camped at New Lisbon Family Campground in a Fifth Wheel.

This is mainly a mobile home park but they have an area for overnighters. Office staff is friendly and very helpful. Great area to walk the dog. Shopping available right across the street. Close to Bass Pro and Antique Malls. We stayed 2 days and enjoyed both. We camped at Ozark Highlands RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Gaslight Campground, Emlenton, Pennsylvania

Date of Stay: September, 2014 - $36.00
Overall Rating:

This is primitive camping with a pricey rate. Evidently, the park had done some recent construction as the ground was rough, bumpy, and soft where we were parked. The office was unkempt and messy. First impression was not favorable. We were traveling East and just needed a one night stay. Probably won't stay here again. We camped at Gaslight Campground in a Fifth Wheel.
