The park staff was friendly when we arrived and gave us 10 sites to choose from. We had a long, shady site with a covered pavilion. We arrived on Thursday and had few neighbors. Friday night there were no camp sites available in the park. It is obvious that this is a park well used by local residents. Remarkably, both nights were quiet and pleasant. I would recommend this park. I know that we will return to it because of its location near shopping and sports facilities. We did not use the showers or restrooms. Our rate includes a $2 per day per person entrance fee and 30 amp electric and water service, no sewer.

First, let me qualify this review by saying that we made our reservations fairly close to the time we arrived so I am sure that we were assigned one of the last available sites, site 13. It was not level and we could not get level. Other sites in the park seemed to be more level. The 50 amp breaker at our site was poorly wired and did not work when we arrived. The camp maintenance man did respond fairly quickly to our request for help. We were never confident that the 50 amp breaker was working correctly. Campground lighting wiring was also poorly installed. We also had such low water pressure that we chose to use our pump. Overall, we felt that the park is in need of repair. The layout of the campground requires some skill in parking. The park is close enough to Yosemite to make it a good location to stay. If I stayed here again, it would not be in site 13.

This is one of our favorite parks. It is shady. Most of the sites are level and there is space between them with well-watered green grass. There is only power at the site, but they have a nice dump station and fresh water fill. We did have a 30 amp site which is reflected in the cost of the site. The staff is friendly and helpful. They do strictly enforce check-in time and we have had to wait in the parking lot to check in.

We stayed here because we could not get into our usual stop in Missoula. The park needs some work. We were extremely close to our neighbors.

This was an overnight stop for us. We used the laundry facilities and found them to be clean and reasonable. We did have a severe rainstorm and the roads were covered with water during the storm, but it quickly drained away after the storm. The sites were nice and wide. This is not a scenic park but it was a pleasant stop for overnight. We would definitely stay here again for an overnight stop.

The staff was extremely friendly! The host made a special trip to ensure that we would have room to pull our rig around another guest's motorhome before he even took us to the site. There was good WI-FI. Please note that they take cash or check only. There was easy access to groceries and fuel. Even though the roads were hilly, the sites were reasonably level. Facilities were clean and well-maintained.

Although this park has side-by-side hookups, the friendly staff made an effort to spread the rigs out. This is an open, grassy and pleasant park. We stayed overnight and were out early the next morning. We had full hookups. We would stay here again for an overnight because it is an easy park to access.

This campground has plenty of shade and the sites are long and wide. We enjoyed watching the barges and other river traffic right from the comfort of our campsite. Our Verizon hotspot worked well; our ATT phones did not. Our site had 50 amp service, no water or sewer. This was our second visit to the park and we are likely to return.

This park is really a parking lot with full hookups. As mentioned in other reviews, these hookups are located at the back of the site. We had to back up in the morning to empty our sewer. However, the park does give you easy access to the train to downtown. The casino van will take you right to the stop which is in the casino parking lot. Be aware that no one under the age of 21 is allowed to use any of the casino dining facilities because they are located inside the gambling area. This park is not inexpensive, but we have found it convenient to use for touring the Arch and other St. Louis attractions. We will likely stay here again.

We stopped for an overnight. The park staff was friendly and helpful, both on the phone and in person. GPS directions took us right to the park. We enjoyed the walk over the river to the Clinton Presidential Library area. We would definitely stay here again.

Yes, there is noise from the freeway, but the park is very well-maintained and the people are friendly. Our site was grassy, but the ground seemed solid. Our nightly rate includes a 15% Escapees discount. One of the best features is the community campfire with seating all around. We enjoyed getting to meet our neighbors there. We would stay here again for an overnight.

I agree with others who have reviewed this park. It has nice long, wide sites and is quiet. It is not scenic, but it is a pleasant overnight stop. The best feature is the RV/truck wash that is just to the right of the exit from the campground. It works well and was extremely convenient to enter. I wish more campgrounds had such an easy-to-use RV wash. The 3-cent fuel discount was meaningless since the station was the highest priced in view. Price reflects FMCA discount.

Everything about this park says professionally run. The reservation was easy to make and the woman making the reservation worked with me to ensure that we got a site near family who had already made a reservation. The young man who checked us in made sure that our site had been plowed before he sent us down. We stayed on a "standard" site and had room for our rig, our towed vehicle, and a guest's car. Full time residents were friendly. A maintenance worker drove by and noticed a light out at the site and stopped to make sure everything was okay. Internet balked a couple of times, but was overall good. This resort is a little pricey, but we felt well cared for and felt that the facilities were as expected.

Pass this by if you're just here for an overnight. It would be a good place to stay if you were staying for a few days to enjoy the city of Golden and the creekside campground. Almost all of the sites were taken by rigs that were obviously there long-term. We were outside the 14-day limit time of the year. That left three sites with electricity only for us to use. The site we were assigned was barely long enough for our rig and getting our towed vehicle on the site was a feat. Our main concern was that the electrical power was very low voltage for most of our stay. Internet was off and on. We were also concerned that one of the two fresh water spigots for filling tanks was in the same space as the dump station and the other was at the back of an unused camp site. Park staff was nice and we were offered a 50-to-30 amp adapter if we needed one.

We came in on a Sunday morning and the office was closed and did not open. We self-registered so we may be missing some information that would have been available if we had talked to park staff. The cable reception was unacceptable; it was fuzzy and we did not get any of the major networks. A neighbor told us that the cable system had been hit by lightning and there was a dispute with the insurance company. As mentioned by another reviewer, we were expected to disconnect our water overnight. The park definitely needs a little TLC. We were in a site by the Interstate, but inside the RV the noise was not noticeable. We would stay here again if the timing required a stop in Raton. Wi-Fi worked great.
