Orange Grove RV Park, Bakersfield, California

Date of Stay: January, 2018 - $44.00
Overall Rating:

Great shower area! The showers were only three, but super large, hot and great after a long day driving. Bathrooms clean neat secure (coded). Park is clean, quiet and loaded with orange trees. Oranges top it off. Pick and eat is encouraged. Remember to get one of the cages that help pick from the top of the trees. They are right outside office. Pool is small but nice. We didn't take advantage of the clubhouse. Looked nice though. Clean and secure. Fitness room good too. Sites are large and roomy. A GREAT place to rest your head. We camped at Orange Grove RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Palm Creek Golf & RV Resort (55+ park), Casa Grande, Arizona

Date of Stay: January, 2018 - $67.00
Overall Rating:

For 1 or 2 night they put you in overflow parking, like camping in a parking lot at shopping center. Not happy but we stayed because everything else was outstanding. Outstanding customer service. Outstanding facilities. Outstanding security. Outstanding amenities and activities. Super clean, quiet. They did not miss a trick at this park. I consider this place to be one of the best. You will not be disappointed. Great place to stay. Plan on more than two nights to take it all in. We camped at Palm Creek Golf & RV Resort (55+ park) in a Fifth Wheel.

There are restaurants nearby, a shopping mall 2 miles away, Starbucks just down road, gas (diesel) available everywhere and this park is adjacent to a medical center should one be in need.

Fort Stockton RV Park, Fort Stockton, Texas

Date of Stay: January, 2018 - $34.00
Overall Rating:

Pretty basic but a good place to rest your head. Clean, neat, room enough to pull in and unhook for the night. Feels safe. It's WINDY here. Mostly all the time. Don't leave your awning up or your door unhitched. Friendly folks at check in. Didn't use bathrooms. We camped at Fort Stockton RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

LoW-Hi RV Ranch, Deming, New Mexico

Date of Stay: January, 2018 - $19.00
Overall Rating:

This is a charming small park with delightful people running it. Super friendly folks camping here. A lovely place that I would return to. We only stayed one night but enjoyed it very much. They were having a pot luck social and invited us. Other campers also invited us! the sunset here was astonishing. There was some road noise earlier in evening but after dark quieted down. Site 14 is big and open and has a nice view. I found this place to be a great resting point along our journey and would stay again in a heartbeat. We camped at LoW-Hi RV Ranch in a Fifth Wheel.

Cajun Palms RV Resort, Breaux Bridge, Louisiana

Date of Stay: January, 2018 - $35.00
Overall Rating:

Was fairly empty for xmas then almost full for New Years. Park is kept very clean. They adhere to the quiet hours rule. Grounds crew is very friendly. The reception desk didn't make me feel particularly welcome. I was glad to see the park owner shut down an impromptu LOUD speakers karaoke party erupting in the park. Woke my kids. Since is was Dec/Jan and super cold, pool, arcade upper deck closed. I think the summer months have this place hopping. The pool area is outstanding and a huge hit with kids and adults. The area around park is quiet. Freeway far enough away to be a non issue. There are some nice restaurants nearby. Diesel gas too. Walmart not far off. Propane on site, with a small store as well. Security is very good. Felt safe and secure entire two week visit. Bathrooms are tidy and very large. Single units with tiolet, sink and big showers. Lots of hot water and good water pressure. Yay! Cable is good, internet is purchase only. I'm thinking when this park is full getting in and out of your site can be a challenge. At least in our area of the park. Our tail end just cleared the road and whenever anyone drove past pulling their rig, I could see their nose hairs from my back window. That's a bit close for me. Thankfully there weren't many folks in the park during our stay or I would have been not very happy having trucks/rigs driving that close to our parked fiver. Overall a very good play to stay. We camped at Cajun Palms RV Resort in a Fifth Wheel.
