Country Rose RV Park, Fredonia, Arizona

Date of Stay: October, 2018 - $42.00
Overall Rating:

Park is run down and needs a lot of work. Weeds growing feet high between sites. Concrete "patios" but parking
area is mixed dirt and gravel. Showers appeared clean, but wanted $3.00 for a 12 minute shower. We camped at Country Rose RV Park in a Motorhome.

Santee Lakes Recreation Preserve, Santee, California

Date of Stay: August, 2018 - $60.00
Overall Rating:

We were in site 165 which we found to be large and easy to get into, however, the site was filthy. There were cigarette butts everywhere and miscellaneous small bits of trash all over the ground. But our biggest gripe was that right next to our dump portal there was a 10' pipe coming out of the ground and going straight up in the air that I assumed was some sort of vent. Well, with the humid days and damp nights and variable wind, we had a constant smell of raw sewage wafting through our motor home and campsite. We couldn't leave fast enough this morning. We would have asked for a different site, but knowing the park was full, didn't bother. Don't stay at a site with a sewer vent next to it, ask for another. Ants are a big problem as well, so bring a powdered cleanser (Ajax or Comet) to sprinkle around all your points of contact with the ground. This will be the last time we come to Santee Lakes. We camped at Santee Lakes Recreation Preserve in a Motorhome.

Golden Shore RV Resort, Long Beach, California

Date of Stay: June, 2018 - $69.00
Overall Rating:

We stayed two nights in space 50. The park is very clean and well maintained. Our site was dirt but it was raked and clean when we checked in. The slope on the site was sufficient to require me to use 6" of wood blocks on the front to get my rig level. It was deep enough to allow plenty of space for the toad in front. There is a "Dog Run", but it's too small for actually playing with your dog. You can take them off leash, but it's only a fenced yard with astro turf all over. They don't want you walking your dog on the nice grassy area in the central portion, so you have to walk them on the asphalt roadways. There is a nice park area a short walk away and the Aquarium of the Pacific is about 15 minutes walking distance. Will stay here again when we bring our grandson to visit the museums and aquarium. We camped at Golden Shore RV Resort in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

If you get a dirt site (some are asphalt), bring something to wipe your feet on before going into your RV. The dirt sticks to your shoes tenaciously.

American Trails RV Park, Quartzsite, Arizona

Date of Stay: January, 2018 - $35.00
Overall Rating:

Stayed three nights for the Big Tent RV Show. All gravel and DG but level sites. 50A service and sewer hook-up. Plenty of room to park the toad next to the MH. No tables or barbecues at the sites. Rather barren and close together sites but a bargain being close to all the action. Would definitely stay here again. We camped at American Trails RV Park in a Motorhome.
