My wife and I camped here for four days this past week. This is our second trip here and we really enjoy it. It's a good central location for visiting Atlantic City and Wildwood/Cape May. The bathrooms were very clean and always kept up well. My only downer was I would have liked the pool to be open during the week, not just on the weekend. We were informed that the pool would be open every day after June 19th. Also, the staff there is very friendly.

We camped here the weekend of May 9 - 11. Good campground as a base for the Hershey area and the new Hollywood casino. We found the campground and restrooms to be very clean and the store to be well stocked. They also had a nice special running that weekend for a buy one get one night free. Easy access off Rt. 22. They also announce the activities, which is nice. We have already booked Memorial Day weekend.

Overall, the campground was OK. I wouldn't consider Spring Gulch a Camp Resort. We camped in the lower part of the campground. The first site we were given was extremely sloped and had a small rain washed gully going through it. Went to the office to request another site and they were friendly and helpful enough. Gave me several choices to pick from on the lower part. All the sites had a degree of slope to them. None were very level. So we picked one but it made setting up a bit of a hassle. The store had limited grocery items, but quite a few gift type items (amish craft, Spring Gulch shirts etc). No snack bar except for ice cream. The mini golf course was in very poor shape. A lot of ripped up carpeting. We didn't partake, but I believe they actually charged people to use it. The swimming lake was ok and the fishing lake was nice. The pools weren't to my liking. I don't like salty water when it's not supposed to be. The worst was the "entertainment" coordinator. We went to Bingo and it was dark. There must have been a sign on the door that said "No food or Drinks allowed". But again, it was dark and if there was a sign there, it was somewhat washed out. He called out several people in front of the crowd and sternly instructed "No Drinks!!". Quite a few folks around us were taken back by the demeaning way he addressed people. We went to the pie eating contest the next day and he was officiating. Not much change in his personality. My wife did take our concerns to the office. We will not be back.

We went to Lake Laurie in July 2007 and were concerned with the low ratings it received in this site and in camp directories. All other campgrounds were booked so we decided to go anyway. We were pleasantly surprised. We had a wooded, level site in the 600 section. We loved the location...mid way between Wildwood and Cape May. The lake was very nice. The only downed was the step on the trampoline was broken and made it very difficult to get up. The pool was nice and the water fresh. The camp store had a good selection and the snack bar had a decent variety. We spoke to a woman who had an annual site there and she explained that the campground was under new ownership this year and she listed all the improvements so far. She was pleased with the new ownership. My only criticisms...the bathrooms could be cleaner and the park looks a bit shabby in the front with some of the campers located there. We will definitely be back...possibly Sept 2007.

My wife and I, along with our two dogs, stayed at Starlite over the weekend (July 20-22). It was our first official trip in our pop up camper. We started out the season tent camping and enjoyed it so much we decided to purchase a pop up. We both loved the campground. The sites are spacious, the pool was refreshing and the grounds were beautiful. We didn't want to leave. The owners and the staff were very nice and helpful. If you go, make sure you get the Sunday morning breakfast. Delicious and a bargain! We will definitely be going back to Starlite.

We camped here so we could go to Kings Dominion park. We loved this campground. Very simple, nothing fancy. But the people who work here are very friendly. The shuttle to the park was a very nice convenience. Never had to wait more than 15 minutes. We camped with our 2 dogs and they were allowed on the shuttle also. We took them to the kennel at the park while we went on rides...another nice feature. The camp store was well stocked and the pool was refreshing. We will definitely be back.
