Lake Louisa State Park, Clermont, Florida

Date of Stay: February, 2018 - $27.00
Overall Rating:

This is a very well maintained state park. Our site had an excellent view overlooking Lake Hammond. The site was a gravel pull-through with plenty of room for our toad. Just a short walk to the extra clean restrooms and showers with laundry although the washing machine was missing, the dryer was available. Verizon signal was ample but not real strong. We camped at Lake Louisa State Park in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

Our dog did not like the Disney fireworks that occurred each night a 7:55 pm and went for 20 minutes. Plenty of things to do in the area, relatively close to Disney and other Orlando attractions. Several Geocaching finds inside the park.

Mike Roess Gold Head Branch State Park, Keystone Heights, Florida

Date of Stay: February, 2018 - $22.00
Overall Rating:

The bathrooms were in good condition and clean but were closed most of the time we were there for painting. The sites were large and spacious but the sand was tracked everywhere in RV and car. We found very poor Verizon service and made trips into town to make calls. We camped at Mike Roess Gold Head Branch State Park in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

We stayed 10 days and had plenty of thing to see and do between the nearby beaches, restaurants, museums and fresh local seafood. We enjoyed our stay and would highly recommend.
