This is a rural campground approx. 12 miles N. of Edinburg, Texas. Very quiet as it is 2 miles off of I-281. A star gazers dream. Staff is friendly and very helpful. Escorts to site. Each site comprises of 2 lots which is unusual for a RV Campground. The lots are not manicured so there are lots of burs which can be cleared up with a little effort if you are planning a lengthy stay. We had small trees on each side of the coach which provided morning and afternoon shade. There were 2 cement patios on our lot. One on each side of coach. The lots are spacious and our car hauler trailer and car could park beside the coach. Sites are drive-thru and you could park facing North or South with the services at the driver side. The park has a number of outdoor games such as horseshoes, shuffleboard and bocce ball. The pool has an 8 foot deep end and a shallow area. The pool pump was giving problems but the hot tub was operational. The cement bottom needed cosmetic work but was well maintained. There was a spacious area for sunning around the pool. The Club House was spacious with a kitchen and included a Pool Room, Library and Puzzle Room. Weekly signup sheets were posted for prepared menu Saturday Breakfast and Dinner @$. Plenty of daily activities in the Club House and a weekly entertainment at a $ cost each Friday night by outside artists. Our stay Nov/17 - Apr./18. We camped at Lazy Palms Ranch in a Motorhome.
Nearest Walmart was approx. 12 miles and the nearest shopping centre was approx. 15 miles from the park. Easy access to McAllen and Harlingen.
