Unicoi Springs Camp Resort, Helen, Georgia

Date of Stay: February, 2018 - $10.00
Overall Rating:

Our parents are members; now we're members! We love Unicoi Springs! We pay to have our travel trailer stored there. When we have a reservation, their staff tow it to our slot so that we can show up, hook it up & open it up. BIG NEWS: over the last couple years, the entire park has been updated/renovated/rebuilt section by section. These days, there's a new playground, pavilion, putt-putt, pickle ball and more. They just completed the primitive camping area. All new sidewalks poured so they're fully accessible for folks with mobility devices. Best of all, the staff are SO helpful and friendly. Once, we had trouble retracting a slide so we stopped some staff members as they passed and they bent over backward to help us get fixed up. And don't get me started on how GORGEOUS it is! We've read the reviews and know there are some complaints about the older members having some attitude. So far, all other members have been kind and neighborly with us. Over the last 3 years, we've had 10 friends come up to stay with us... of those, 4 joined! U-Springs, Next Gen! We camped at Unicoi Springs Camp Resort in a Travel Trailer.

Tips for other Campers:

Nacoochee Village Pizzeria is on the other side of Helen, but WORTH the drive. Yum! Jumping Goats Coffee and Nora Mills are side by side on the river and are a must-see. Currently, a walking trail with bridges and overlooks is being built on the other side of the river from these shops and will extend all the way to Festhalle. Make sure to watch for fly fishermen - so relaxing to watch.
