Skidaway Island State Park, Savannah, Georgia
Date of Stay:
February, 2018 -
$42.00
Overall Rating:
As many reviewers have noted, this park has amazing lot spaces. Each camp section was equally as good as the others, with large lots, a balance of shade and sun, and a great deal of privacy. At $42 a night there weren't any real amenities, however the park was clean, quiet and well maintained. The walking trails were flat, cleared and beautiful. Even though I was advised over the phone that the park honored disabled military veterans discounts, when I arrived they stated I was misinformed and they only provided reduced rates for Georgia disabled veterans. While most of the staff were friendly, the lady at the check in booth was always busy looking at her phone and never looked up to see incoming vehicles and seemed bothered by having to answer questions. We camped at Skidaway Island State Park in a Motorhome.
Some must see places to see and eat at included, Joe's Homemade Cafe, River Street, and Fort Jackson.
