Cherry Creek State Park, Aurora, Colorado

Date of Stay: February, 2018 - $25.00
Overall Rating:

Stayed here in February, campground was full! Very nice, new facilities. Beware, restrooms are only open from 7 am to 8 pm during the winter. Lots of open space and hiking trails. Saw four coyotes and a bald eagle on our second day, which is kind of weird in an area surrounded by freeways. Make sure you ask for the WiFi password when you enter at the gate. We camped at Cherry Creek State Park in a Travel Trailer.

Ellis Lakeside Campground, Ellis, Kansas

Date of Stay: February, 2018 - $15.00
Overall Rating:

We stayed in February and had the park to ourselves. WiFi was working but the restrooms are locked during the winter season and there are no pit toilets or porta pottys. We camped at Ellis Lakeside Campground in a Travel Trailer.

Nashville KOA, Nashville, Tennessee

Date of Stay: February, 2018 - $43.00
Overall Rating:

Very large park with lots of amenities. Long term campers stay on other side of park from short term campers which is nice. Restrooms were new and quite clean. We camped at Nashville KOA in a Travel Trailer.

Campfire Lodgings, Asheville, North Carolina

Date of Stay: February, 2018 - $28.00
Overall Rating:

Nice stay in February, beautiful views, not too crowded. Staff was very nice. The last hill and curve would be tough to get up if there was a snow or ice covered. We camped at Campfire Lodgings in a Travel Trailer.

There are so many great restaurants in Asheville, you might leave a few pounds heavier!
