This is our second winter at this park. Would say it is one of the best parks in the Rio Grand Valley!, with many activities to do within the park and surrounding area. Many of the workers are work campers, and provide excellent service in a friendly manner. There is a 18 hole golf course attached to the resort, as well as a new beautiful entertainment centre which draws big name entertainers. We used to winter in Florida. Comparing the two States, Texas welcomes the Winter Texans, locals are friendly and appreciate the business we Snowbirds bring into the area. It is far cheaper than Florida also, yet weather is quite comparable to what we experienced around the Venice Florida area. It is not as busy as Florida either, nor as "cliquie" We camped at Llano Grande Resort and Country Club in a Fifth Wheel.
There is far too many things to do to list here, but will say, if anyone is bored while in the RG Valley, its their own choice!! PS Mexico border into Progresso is approx 8 - 10 miles away.
