Rock Creek State Park, Kellogg, Iowa

Date of Stay: May, 2018 - $16.00
Overall Rating:

Sites are small and packed together. There are sites with gravel pads, and some pull-through sites. Most sites are small for motorhomes. Our 27 ft RV just fits in our pull-through. The campground is on a beautiful river with lots of trees. We camped at Rock Creek State Park in a Motorhome.

Fremont Indian State Park / Sam Stowe Campground, Sevier, Utah

Date of Stay: March, 2018 - $25.00
Overall Rating:

Beautiful small canyon. Sites are clean and well maintained. We used electric. Sites are very close together. Middle of nowhere except for interstate. Campground is 1 mile off interstate along a frontage road. Despite being so close to the freeway, we heard minimal freeway traffic. Put the Fremont Indian State Park in GPS and get off at that exit, NOT the exit to the north and the frontage road. We camped at Fremont Indian State Park / Sam Stowe Campground in a Motorhome.

North Sterling State Park, Sterling, Colorado

Date of Stay: March, 2018 - $31.00
Overall Rating:

We stayed one night passing through on the interstate. We were the only ones there. Campsites are neat and clean. Many are right on the lake shore. The lake is small. There were a lot of Jackrabbits and prairie dogs. 20 mile drive from the interstate and town. Very pretty prairie ecosystem. We camped at North Sterling State Park in a Motorhome.

Lake Macbride State Park, Solon, Iowa

Date of Stay: February, 2018 - $11.00
Overall Rating:

We stayed one night as a stopping point while heading West on I-80. Very nice park with beautiful lake and woods. About 15 minutes from interstate. It was empty this time of year, so we had it to ourselves. The campsites are VERY close together, and some very inconveniently located across from the dumpstation or very close to restrooms. Avoid if crowded time of year. We camped at Lake Macbride State Park in a Motorhome.
