Nugget RV Park, St. Regis, Montana

Date of Stay: August, 2016 - $40.00
Overall Rating:

This is just a nice park on the way through Montana. There is a lot to do around here, but we were just here for one night. But we always stay her when we go through Montana. It is a great Park. Owners are great. They lead you to you campsite and make sure you are happy with the site. Washrooms and showers are very clean and well taken care of. The park itself is well maintained and the sites are easy to get in and out of. Certainly Big Rig friendly. We camped at Nugget RV Park in a Travel Trailer.

Custer State Park - Stockade Lake North Campground, Custer, South Dakota

Date of Stay: August, 2016 - $25.00
Overall Rating:

Great Park to stay in. Close to Custer, Mount Rushmore and Crazy Horse. We were here before the Rally and it was still pretty busy. Campsite was busy and most sites are back in. They have few pull throughs, but they are tight for space for a tow vehicle.
This is our third stay here and we will stay again. We camped at Custer State Park - Stockade Lake North Campground in a Travel Trailer.

7th Ranch RV Camp, Garryowen, Montana

Date of Stay: August, 2016 - $39.00
Overall Rating:

In my opinion, this is the best park in the western U.S. A short gravel road to the campground is not a problem. The washrooms are emaculate. Close to the Bighorn Battlefield. All campsites are pull throughs. It is pretty easy to get here and to like this place. Free ice cream when you check in. Every site has a great view of the wonderful Montana sunset!

There used to be old western music played in the washrooms. It was real nice. I understand someone complained about the music and if the musicians had approved 7th Ranch to play the music. Most of the musicians have passed away and if that is a complaint someone had about this park, they need to rethink why they camp!

Thank you owner couple and keep up the good work. We camped at 7th Ranch RV Camp in a Travel Trailer.

Perrys RV Park and Tent Campground, Red Lodge, Montana

Date of Stay: August, 2015 - $33.00
Overall Rating:

We stayed here in a 33 foot toy hauler. We were in site 41 on the creek, it was a great site. Restrooms were OK. New ones are being built which is needed. The owners are very friendly and always around. Getting to your campsite can be tricky if you don't follow the owner who is leading you to your site. Sites are relatively private and a good amount of room. Sites are level. Beartooth pass is easily accessible from here. Would definitely stay here again. We camped at Perrys RV Park and Tent Campground in a Travel Trailer.

Wolf Lodge Campground, Coeur d'Alene, Idaho

Date of Stay: August, 2012 - $35.00
Overall Rating:

For a one night stop, this is OK, but not for the dollars. Showers are dirty and garbage was laying around. Restrooms are OK, but there needs to be more. For the men, one bathroom fixture and that's it. For the two nights we were here, there was no toilet paper after 8pm. Highway noise was OK after 11pm. Sites are OK, but narrow. Very dusty on hot days of summer. We will not stay here again. We camped at Wolf Lodge Campground in a Travel Trailer.

Henrys Lake State Park, Island Park, Idaho

Date of Stay: August, 2012 - $24.00
Overall Rating:

This park has almost everything you need. The sites are big, easy to get in and out of. Not much shade, but trees have been planted. Staff was very good and friendly. Very clean showers and restrooms. Most sites have a great lake view and the park is only 15 miles from West Yellowstone. This year there seemed to be a lot of mosquitoes, otherwise this park is a 10. We will camp here again. We camped at Henrys Lake State Park in a Travel Trailer.

Ginkgo Petrified Forest / Wanapum State Park, Vantage, Washington

Date of Stay: August, 2011 - $36.00
Overall Rating:

Most sites are large and spacious and have the picnic table and grass. We stayed here last year and the campground was great. But management has changed over the year. The washrooms and showers were terrible. Not well cleaned at all. The ladies shower in the lower sites had frogs in it. They never swept out the lower washrooms, so they could not have been cleaned in the 2 days we were there. The upper washrooms and showers were good. We would not stay here again. We camped at Ginkgo Petrified Forest / Wanapum State Park in a Travel Trailer.

Custer's Gulch RV Park, Custer, South Dakota

Date of Stay: August, 2011 - $38.00
Overall Rating:

We were here during bike week as well. The park is great. Spacious sites and very clean facilities. Staff was great and very helpful. I would have rated higher, but at all the sites all the hookups are together. Water, sewer and electricity are within 2 feet of each other and very deep in the site. For most not a problem, but for toy hauler it is. I had to back in the trailer, unhitch the trailer, unload the bikes, then rehitch and back in the rest of the way so I could get all my connections. Again when we left, it was the same. Hitch the trailer twice. Would not prevent me from staying here again, but it was somewhat of a pain. We camped at Custer's Gulch RV Park in a Travel Trailer.

Camp Three Forks , Three Forks, Montana

Date of Stay: August, 2011 - $36.00
Overall Rating:

This is a nice park. But the pool needs a lot of work. It is overgrown and not cleaned out at all when we were there. The sites are nice and large. Everyone has grass and a picnic table. The washrooms are OK, they need some work. Good park for a night or two. We camped at Camp Three Forks in a Travel Trailer.

Sites are close together, which can be a problem if you are in your site all day long. But for use as a base to sightsee, it is great. Washrooms are great and very clean. Owner is very helpful and helps all he can. He does a great job keeping his campsite neat and tidy. We camped at Peter D's RV Park in a Travel Trailer.

This is a real nice park. Easy access, but far enough from the highway, you don't hear the noise. Very clean restrooms and big roomy sites. Nice setting among the pine trees and pretty good shade. We will definitely stay here again. We camped at Jim & Mary's RV Park in a Travel Trailer.

Moorhead Fargo Campground , Moorhead, Minnesota

Date of Stay: August, 2007 - $28.00
Overall Rating:

This park is close to the highway as are most KOA's. The washrooms need a lot of work, as does the laundry. Sites are close together in the middle, but still big enough to get a slide and awning out. We will not stay here again. We camped at Moorhead Fargo Campground in a Travel Trailer.
