Very friendly campground. Hosts are super nice and go out of their way to make you feel welcome and introduce you to the other campers. You can park your rig facing Matagorda Bay [about 20 foot away] and watch the shrimp boats coming and going. Lots of sea birds. Fishing is good at times. Only downside is constant wind. Daily rate is high, but monthly rate of $265 plus electric is great [expect about $70/mo. for electric]. We definitely will return!

Very nice, quiet spacious campground. Cosy clubhouse with fireplace. Laundry and hot showers available. Super nice and helpful owners who really make you feel welcome. They went out of their way to help us with our cell phone problem, even letting us use their cell phone. While we were there they had a BBQ which was free to the campers. Afterwards there were about a dozen local musicians who entertained us. We had planned on staying two days, but we were enjoying ourselves so much we ended up staying four days. When in the area we will certainly return. They are Passport America so there is more of an incentive to return.
