Lancaster Campground, Lancaster, Ohio

Date of Stay: October, 2011 - $12.00
Overall Rating:

Wonderfully quiet campground. We took advantage of the new dog run! Great!! The small cottage village is great for biking and walking around. There are stores close around. They offer free firewood. Close to the Sherman House, the fairgrounds and the Circleville Pumpkin Show. Inside "town" but we saw deer while sitting around the campfire. Close to Route 33. We will return. We camped at Lancaster Campground in a Motorhome.

Stone Mountain Park Campground, Stone Mountain, Georgia

There is a first time $10 fee to get in to register. After that this is a wonderful park. Family or not. Lots to do from the park to Antebellum home tour, boating, fishing, swimming (pool),or hiking. We were there for a laser light show at the carving. Very nice with lots of options in the camp sites. I will stay again. We camped at Stone Mountain Park Campground in a Motorhome.

Whispering Hills RV Park, Georgetown, Kentucky

Date of Stay: May, 2011 - $32.00
Overall Rating:

This is a brand new park! It does have great bathrooms and pool! They are still building some sites. Pond is wonderful and there are fish! This is going to be a destination park for us next time. They gave us the name of a wonderful pizza place in town where we went to check out the old square. There is a Toyota plant nearby that you can tour as well as the Kentucky Horse Park and old towne Lexington not far. A big tandem Camelot pulled in right beside us...so no big rig issues. They are adding all gravel sites too, for those that like them. There is a large shelter house for groups. We camped at Whispering Hills RV Park in a Motorhome.

Convenient on the way home from Key West. Small park, but lots to do. Gravel pads that would be called tight anywhere else. That said, it's quiet and easy in. We camped at John Pennekamp Coral Reef State Park in a Motorhome.

Lakeview RV Resort, Houston, Texas

Date of Stay: January, 2011 - $22.00
Overall Rating:

Safe, convenient, clean, and friendly. We stayed a month while visiting our daughter. We have been here before and it was just as nice as the first time. There is a game room with a free pool table and treadmills. A nice area is available for siting and reading or watching their TV. The business center with computers is really nice. There is coffee everyday and popcorn as well. Walking paths for enjoying the lake. This in a gated facility. Monthly rates were available. Price is based on the monthly rate. We camped at Lakeview RV Resort in a Motorhome.

Sun Roamers RV Resort, Picayune, Mississippi

Date of Stay: January, 2011 - $35.00
Overall Rating:

Came in late and were shown to our pull through. They are new and right next to the entrance. Noisy with the gravel road. They have tried to slow people down with speed bumps. It was oldie an overnight. There are a lot of long term rigs. Not sure that we would stay again. We camped at Sun Roamers RV Resort in a Motorhome.

Northgate RV Travel Park, Athens, Alabama

Date of Stay: January, 2011 - $24.00
Overall Rating:

We got to pick our spot of those that were open. The one we were in was nearly level. The owner was friendly and helpful. He only takes cash or check. No credit cards. It helps keep the prices down. Electric was good. Water was strong at 70 lbs. Note have your regulator. It was very convenient to the highway. There was a little noise but for an overnight it was just what we needed. Clean too. Note the drive sneaks up on you. We will stop here anytime we are through here. We camped at Northgate RV Travel Park in a Motorhome.

This is a clean park with lots to do. A nature center, golf course, Lodge with restaurant, well stocked store, hiking paths, sites with foliage between, paved bike paths, lake beaches, and close to many area sites. That is just the beginning. Clean shower houses with laundry. Well taken care of with friendly camper hosts and store people. Though there are 256 sites there are 4 conveniently placed shower houses. Check out time is 1:00 pm. I will definitely come back here. We camped at Maumee Bay State Park in a Motorhome.

Grand Isle State Park, Grand Isle, Louisiana

Date of Stay: May, 2009 - $18.00
Overall Rating:

Great quiet location. Coming back from hurricane Gustoff. Beach access. The park has palm trees for shade that are new. This is right on the ocean. People are friendly and welcoming. This is not a commercialized area, though there are restaurants and groceries and a souvenir shop or two. You want quiet on the ocean...you got it! I would come here again in a heartbeat. We camped at Grand Isle State Park in a Motorhome.
