Casey's Spencer Bay Camps on Moosehead Lake, Greenville, Maine

Date of Stay: August, 2014 - $30.00
Overall Rating:

This is a lovely, quiet campground on stunning Moosehead Lake in the North Woods of Maine. It is located 6 miles down a well-maintained dirt logging road. The facilities are basic and spotless. We love that it has no Wi-Fi and minimal cellular reception. It is a place to go to escape; a perfect Maine campground. There is a wonderful walking path along the shore, and wildlife abounds. We prefer this campground to nearby Lily Bay State Park. We camped at Casey's Spencer Bay Camps on Moosehead Lake in a Tent Trailer.

Balsam Cove Campground, Orland, Maine

Date of Stay: July, 2014 - $44.00
Overall Rating:

We made last-minute reservations to stay here over 4th of July weekend, and they were very accommodating and helpful in finding us a spot for our tent camper. The only "bad" thing that I can say about Balsam Cove CG is that when the power goes out, as it did when we were there, the toilets won't flush; the toilets backed up and they were slow to respond to the problem. Other than that, they do a good job, and Toddy Pond is a beautiful lake! Definitely a good Maine campground! We camped at Balsam Cove Campground in a Tent Trailer.
