We are full timers and stayed from July 2012 to June 2017. We left after they sold and were planning to upgrade the park. New owners found getting permits to build on Florida waterways is very strict and they are, after a year, still in limbo. They started allowing RVers back but only short-term and even though there have been NO improvements they are now charging $745 a month, we were paying $515 last year. We had enjoyed the place even though it was very rural and not kept up. Any storms caused blackouts and the water was always an issue. The best part was being able to park under the beautiful trees and not being on a slab which makes it even hotter inside your RV. The wildlife and fishing is great too. I have never understood how people can park in direct sun; it seriously wrecks and fades the finish on RVs and you will burn out an air conditioner if you run it for any period of time. We camped at Linger Lodge in a Motorhome.
About 2 miles to the Walmart. Minimal traffic being rural enough and out of the way. Hospitals and clinics close by. Opportunities to see beaches, parks, wildlife, and nature.
