We stayed here for 3 nights... nice owners. We got there late on Friday.. and we buzzed them up - paid for the spot and he helped direct us into our parking spot @ 10:30PM. Park is a little too crowded - spots close together, but still ok. We came for the crabbing - but had a horrible return.. and the rented boats took forever to come up the two miles of river when working against the flow. Lots of things for the family.. they had a field with volleyball net, basket ball hoop, they had horseshoes, and some other things... tent sites where some of the family stayed were actually in a wooded area with small trails linking them. Only other part that we did not care for was it being close to the road... and some folks (which I can understand) like to go to bed too early. :-) Otherwise.. great place and would go again. They had a dock and fishing could be had - mainly for the kids though.. my daughters first time fishing and she caught 6 (un-eatable) bullhead fish - little 3-5 inchers... on her cheap pole. My wife commented that it seemed like they like to charge for every single thing or service they had to offer - but at the same time - they did not always keep the best of track. :-) Good place otherwise!

My wife, 2 kids and a small dog stayed here. Aside from the neighbors we were parked next to.. it was really nice. We went for a walk the first day - I forgot my hamburger for dinner.. and we were able to pick some up at the camp store when you come in to register - and they did not rip you off "that bad" :-). We also used the pool - decent facilities. It was busy when we were there. I would recommend the partial hook-ups for a little more "camping" type feel as the full hookups were more grassed over. Otherwise, lots of trees. Trail to the creek was a little difficult to find at first - but we did. Dump station we used - while ground was a little muddy was actually pretty easy compared with some I have used at the beach. Close to town - with the woodsy feel. We will return.

We have stayed here many times over the past. The place used to have a very nice large pool. They filled it in - so that's gone. Playground is really just a swing set and a see-saw (nothing more). Gravel sites. Current price is OK - but not worth paying any more! Drinking water appeared to have rust or something in it last time we used it. Recommend a screen. They tend to "mess" up reservations and double book on spots. But, usually plenty of room if you gotta move to something else. Don't stay toward the back of the park - hit the middle - everyone else goes for the back of the park! Place also no longer has the marina - they closed it - probably because the small area of the bay is too shallow and needs dredged. New owners took over it and I guess trying to fix things - but seem more of just cutting costs then fixing. Not really impressed and per our last visit - was not really wanting to come back. Big field for tents in middle of place. Some fire rings. It is nice for its location to another close marina for crabbing, etc. Steam engine also is right in front of the park that runs between the two summer holidays - fun to take the family on a small trip. Park seen better days but not the worse thing out there.
