Mountain View RV Park, Van Horn, Texas

Date of Stay: July, 2013 - $31.00
Overall Rating:

Rate was for a 50 full pull-thru site. Sites are spacious and can actually accommodate very long rigs as the space between the various rows in the park are quite wide. The roads and sites are not paved, so there is going to be dust and dirt. Restrooms were very clean and check-in was very efficient, the pride of the owners being readily apparent. Glad we read the recent reviews and decided to stay here. We would certainly stay again if passing through the area and needing an overnight stop. We camped at Mountain View RV Park in a Motorhome.

Pancho Villa State Park, Columbus, New Mexico

Date of Stay: July, 2013 - $14.00
Overall Rating:

Rate is daily rate for 30 amp electric and water pull thru site. Dump station available in the park. Sites vary in size, have desert landscaping and a shade structure over a picnic table. Roads and sites are gravel and dirt. Motorhomes that don't want to get dust all over their toad should unhitch before entering or exiting the park. The park is close to Palomas, Mexico where there are dentists and opticians, as well as the famous Pink Store which is a must visit. We have stayed here several times and will again in the future. We camped at Pancho Villa State Park in a Motorhome.

Apache Gold Casino RV Park, San Carlos, Arizona

Date of Stay: July, 2013 - $25.00
Overall Rating:

Rate is for a pull thru 30 amp full hook-ups site. The "RV park" is nothing more than a blacktop area with small narrow sites marked by painted lines that share an electrical hookup, but have separate water and sewer. The 50 amp outlet was taken by the RV beside us so we got the 30 amp outlet. Generally, casinos try to have at least a half way descent RV park, but not here. It didn't help that the electric went out while we were here. There is a backup generator, but it is apparently only for the convenience store that also serves as the RV park office. We camped at Apache Gold Casino RV Park in a Motorhome.

Canyon Vistas RV Resort (55+ park), Gold Canyon, Arizona

Date of Stay: July, 2013 - $22.00
Overall Rating:

Rate is for a FHU 50 amp back-in site on gravel with a PA discount. This is a large RV Park with many back-in sites for snowbirds. The PA sites are out front near a very busy highway with constant road noise. Other than the fact we were visiting friends, we would have stayed somewhere else. We camped at Canyon Vistas RV Resort (55+ park) in a Motorhome.

Elks Lodge #1608 (Members Only), Needles, California

Date of Stay: July, 2013 - $18.00
Overall Rating:

Rate is for a 50 amp FHU pull-thru site. Elks members only. Sites are level and are gravel facing out from the top of a low mesa. The lodge is located in a residential area some distance from the I-40 freeway so it is quiet. However, as other have mentioned, the wind does blow and in the summer is definitely hot. This is another of those hidden Elks Club gems that we would definitely stay at if again passing through the area. We camped at Elks Lodge #1608 (Members Only) in a Motorhome.

Sierra Trails RV Park, Mojave, California

Date of Stay: July, 2013 - $13.00
Overall Rating:

Rate is for a 30 amp water and electric pull-thru site with PA discount. There are two areas to this park. One is an older section with narrow back-in sites with sewer, and another small section in the rear with no sewer, but they are pull-thru sites. Dirt/rock/sand for everything. Large trees in the old section. Small trees and good satellite reception in the rear section. This makes for a good overnight or several night stopping stop. The PA rate makes it an excellent value for the money and we would stay here again if in the area. We camped at Sierra Trails RV Park in a Motorhome.

Elks Lodge #1298 (Members Only), Visalia, California

Date of Stay: July, 2013 - $20.00
Overall Rating:

Rate is for a 50 amp water and electric only back-in site behind the Elks Lodge. Marked spots at the rear of the lodge parking lot with hookups at the back of the site. Has dump station. Available only to members of the Elks. Lodge is open daily and has dinners on various days, but you must sign up for them. While it is some distance off the 99, we would stay here again if in the area. We camped at Elks Lodge #1298 (Members Only) in a Motorhome.

Mark J RV Park (55+ park), Sacramento, California

Date of Stay: July, 2013 - $19.00
Overall Rating:

Rate shown based on weekly rate of $130 for a FHU back-in site. Minimum stay at this park is one week. A converted mobile home park with paved streets. The pads are fine gravel where the RV is parked with a concrete patio and a asphalt parking area for your vehicle. Some shade. Near the freeway and a busy street, but traffic noise is not irritating. The manager will assist you backing into you site and he is very specific in exactly how he wants you to park. Many long term and seasonal residents, including a number of old mobile homes, but everyone is very friendly. Some distance from downtown Sacramento, but a nice place to stay for longer visits to the area. We camped at Mark J RV Park (55+ park) in a Motorhome.

Old Orchard RV Park, Orland, California

Date of Stay: July, 2013 - $23.00
Overall Rating:

Rate is for FHU 50 amp pull-through site. Gravel pad, grass between sites. Sites face into a circle and were long enough that there was no need to unhook. It's older, it has some permanents, it's near I-5 and traffic noise and it doesn't have any pool or other amenities. Park Wi-Fi worked fine and good Verizon cell phone signal. It is a good value for the money if you are just looking for a place to stay for a night or two. We camped at Old Orchard RV Park in a Motorhome.

Hitchin' Post RV Park, Yoder, Kansas

Date of Stay: June, 2013 - $20.00
Overall Rating:

Rate is for a 50 amp FHU pull-through site. This a small park, all open, no trees, some permanents in the back-in sites at the back area of the park, but their sites are orderly. Self check-in with drop box payment payment. The restrooms were clean and while there is a state hwy nearby, there was no traffic noise. One of those, glad it was there places when you are looking for a nice overnight stop in the middle of nowhere. We camped at Hitchin' Post RV Park in a Motorhome.

Concordia Airport Park, Concordia, Kansas

Date of Stay: June, 2013 - $10.00
Overall Rating:

Rate is for a 50 amp water/electric pull thru site. Payment is by donation at a drop box. Roads paved and pads are concrete with trees, but open enough for satellite reception. Located at the small county airport, but the only noise, which was minimal, was from the the nearby highway. There is a Walmart across the highway for shopping, and that park is a short distance from town. We were so pleasantly surprised by the park and town that we ended up staying an extra night. We camped at Concordia Airport Park in a Motorhome.

Riverside RV Resort & Campground, Bartlesville, Oklahoma

Date of Stay: June, 2013 - $16.00
Overall Rating:

Rate was for a 50 amp full pull through back-in site with PA discount. Strong park Wi-Fi signal. This park seems to have two sections, an older, tighter "campground" type area, and another section with wider back-in spaces that are in the open. Nice location on the river, with a handy paved trail along the river bank that is great for walking. It is certainly not a resort in the truest sense, but it is a way to be out in the country while still being in the city. We stayed for three nights while visiting the area and would stay again. We camped at Riverside RV Resort & Campground in a Motorhome.

Coronado Motel & RV Park, Lindsborg, Kansas

Date of Stay: June, 2013 - $22.00
Overall Rating:

Rate is for a FHU back-in site. The other reviews are right on about this place. The site we had was a 50 amp site but had to use 30 amp because the 50 amp outlet didn't work. It rained while we were here and there was mud everywhere as the gravel has all but disappeared. Location of the pull through sites is such that we didn't even attempt to pull into them. Very seldom have we ever been to an RV park where we would never stay again, but is one of them. We camped at Coronado Motel & RV Park in a Motorhome.

Overland RV Park, Van Buren, Arkansas

Date of Stay: June, 2013 - $29.00
Overall Rating:

Rate is for a 50 amp FHU pull thru site with GS discount. Close to freeway and behind a former RV dealership, the roads and sites are gravel, but are level. Good Verizon signal. Close to I-40 so some traffic noise, but not excessive. Van Buren has some interesting history and we ended up staying two nights instead of just one. We camped at Overland RV Park in a Motorhome.

Downtown Riverside RV Park, North Little Rock, Arkansas

Date of Stay: June, 2013 - $11.00
Overall Rating:

Rate is for a 50 amp FHU back-in site with PA discount. How can a RV park that is essentially an open parking area with hookups have such high ratings, the answer is location, location, location. This is one of those hidden gems, an RV park within easy walking distance of a major city's downtown area. Sure it is just a big open lot that the sun bakes, but we were here to visit downtown Little Rock, not sit outside the RV. We were only here for a couple of nights this time, but we will definitely be back. We camped at Downtown Riverside RV Park in a Motorhome.
