Acorns Resort Cabins and RV Campground, Milford, Kansas

Date of Stay: April, 2018 - $20.00
Overall Rating:

We have stayed at Acorns Resort many times over the past 2 years. The resort is constantly growing and upgrading. The staff is very friendly and helpful. The campground is very clean. Most sites have a large concrete pad and all have fire pits and picnic tables. There is a restaurant within walking distance and now building a new convenience store/office with shower and laundry facilities. Beautiful views of the lake and especially sunsets, shoreline fishing, 3 miles of hiking trails around the campground and by the lake, two beach areas, boat rentals and a boat slip. Very peaceful place to stay and relax. This is the best place to stay on Milford Lake for the amenities and service. We camped at Acorns Resort Cabins and RV Campground in a Fifth Wheel.

Tips for other Campers:

While here you can fish, kayak, swim, hike (3 mile loop at campsite), 9 mile out and back at base of reservoir, and the Linear trail in Manhattan. There is also a fish hatchery below the dam and fishing ponds as well. There are several cottages if you want the camping experience without buying the RV. There is a public boat ramp next to the campground as well. If you don't, the campground rents boats and pontoons as well.
