Maplewood Acres RV Park, Bainsville, Ontario

Date of Stay: September, 2018 - $37.00
Overall Rating:

What a wonderful park. This was there labour day long weekend, jammed full... tons of kids... we were cautioned that it would be, "halloween celebration" weekend....a busy park. It was outstanding. We travel 10 months a year, the most wooded, forested park we have visited. However no issue for our 32' 5er...we also saw really big rigs. The park was about 60-70% full timers, but beautifully maintained RVs and lots! The short termers had their own area. The staff was really great, There was some road construction in the area. The manager called to advise!!! Just unheard of service. Again, The park is heavily forested, so... the roads aren't paved so may get a little muddy, but no danger of getting stuck, rock and dirt. I just can't recommend enough. Our 9 is very strong... probably a 9.5... honestly, 10s are hard to come by. The laundry was perfect. Adequate small camp store. There really isn't any grocery or other shopping nearby, 20-30 minutes. There is a nearby gas station. The sites are crazy big, spacious and private. Happy to wholeheartedly recommend. Right on the Quebec border, so mostly friendly french speaking campers was a treat. We watch outdoor movies and had about 8 kids joins us for a movie, fun.... We camped at Maplewood Acres RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Riverside RV Park and Campground, Edmundston, New Brunswick

Date of Stay: September, 2018 - $20.00
Overall Rating:

It is funny how different reviews can be. I went back to make sure I was reviewing the same park! Beautiful shaded to open park. We stayed in a 30a full hook up. A little odd the 50a in the part that's open weren't full hook up, but OK. Great water pressure. Good wifi with park about 60%, wonderful almost empty. The camp hosts, that accept payment (cash or check) and, take you to your site, and assist with back-in... were friendly and wonderful. We were at the end of the small park, site 14, VERY level. These sites are on the small side, but we set up our clam at the end, very open nice view. Our site backed up to an manicured open area about the size of a small soccer field. The park was spotless. The park was quiet. There was an occasional train rumble, but muffled and distanced, we enjoy that sound. We absolutely recommend and will be back on the next Canada trip!!! We rated a 9, however, we love nature, don't care for the "resort" type park. We bring all the amenities we need. We camped at Riverside RV Park and Campground in a Fifth Wheel.

Hickory Creek COE (Closed until March 2019), Lewisville, Texas

Date of Stay: May, 2018 - $14.00
Overall Rating:

Typical COE park. It is very nice. . They really need to update electrical hookup on accessible sites, 30 amp makes the bigger units struggle in Texas weather (however, no points off, knew this going in) . The park appeared to be kept in very good order. The shower houses were clean, but a little dated. We stay in accessible sights when possible. Site 72 is listed as such... however, couldn't access picnic table.. quite a way down a small embankment, with gravel... wheelchair just couldn't cut it! (See photo). Would have preferred to give a strong 8.5. We camped at Hickory Creek COE (Closed until March 2019) in a Fifth Wheel.

Piney River Escape, Bon Aqua, Tennessee

Date of Stay: April, 2018 - $35.00
Overall Rating:

What a wonderful park. We had a river (big fast moving creek)front site, got lucky, they stay full. The roads getting there are bad... just slow down, you will be okay. The only drawback to the creek side was flash floods... kinda scary watching it rise. They were still recovering from a nasty flood in Nov 2017. The regular sites are way up the hill and high and dry. They are more park like, still very nice. People in this park, a lot of monthly.. a few even visited, were super friendly. The hookup connections were a little rough all though, they were working on it, just trying to be honest, only thing that kept it from a 10... The camphost... cant say enough good things, what a privilege to meet you sir. We are trying to pick a time for a longer stay in the Fall. We had good internet on our Sprint on our hot spot. Follow their directions, NOT GOOGLE!!!! We will definately, absolutely return. FREE LAUNDRY!! We camped at Piney River Escape in a Fifth Wheel.

Piney Grove COE, New Site, Mississippi

Date of Stay: April, 2018 - $12.00
Overall Rating:

Way above even our expectations of a Corp park. Rate reflects a Senior Pass. What a beautiful, water front, spotless campground. We had a terrible storm while we staying. One of the campround hosts came by our coach that morning to let us know that if there was a Tornado WARNING, they would be driving through the park blowing their horn continuously. What, really? How unbelievably wonderful. This park has 50 amp and water, no sewer. Dump site was perfect. Beautiful laundry room (shhh, only $1). This is a park that will cause us to change our future plans in order to return. We are retired and travel about 9 months a year. This easily is in our "top 10" of parks. The sites have grills, fire rings, concrete tables, picnic tables, trash poles, concrete borders around the crushed stone, and breathtaking views. The folks in the office are simply wonderful. We camped at Piney Grove COE in a Fifth Wheel.

Fall Hollow Campground, Hohenwald, Tennessee

Date of Stay: April, 2018 - $40.00
Overall Rating:

The campground office was located in the restaurant at the front of the property, which smelled wonderful by the way. Check in was quick and friendly, led us to our "site". It was just a spot in the grass. There were some gravel-dirt type spots as well. You can see the Trace from the park. The "grass" needed mowed. It was FHU, however... was at the back of the "site". We backed up to a FEMA style permanent trailer, rental? We couldn't reach the sewer. The sewer hose was next to the rental. The 50 amp plug was at the front. We backed in far enough where our '32 fifth wheel could fit without unhooking. There was no way we could have hooked up all services. We used our '30 extension for power. The water was literally in a hole (some type of connection box stuffed with insulation) in the ground, about '35 from our coach. The road was close, but didn't bother us. Bottom line, if the rate was in the $25 range, we would have expected the more "camp" feel... the $40 price should have included some upkeep. The camp ground host site was very junky. Ultimately, we felt safe and was very convenient, but just way over-priced. We won't return. We camped at Fall Hollow Campground in a Fifth Wheel.
