Lafons RV Park, Princeton, Texas

Date of Stay: April, 2018 - $22.00
Overall Rating:

If you ride a motorcycle or have a medium to large sized dog, pass on this park. It is all very large rock that is not packed very well. It's like riding in quick sand. All back up spots. Very close quarters with newly planted trees between. Price reflects weekly rate and no discounts are offered. Ladies in the office are very friendly, however, be prepared to complete enough paperwork to feel like you are purchasing a house. Will stay down the road at Shady Creek if in the area again. Mostly permanent residents. Road to the furthest park is in dire need of repairs We camped at Lafons RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Gulf Coast RV Resort, Beaumont, Texas

Date of Stay: April, 2018 - $35.00
Overall Rating:

Friendly staff and easy check-in. Spaces were really close together but we didn't have any issues with those around us. Entire park is paved and has a small grassy area with a picnic table at each site. They offered a free hot breakfast every day. It was pretty much the same thing every day but who can pass up free food. They had a free "Spring" Dinner during our stay as well. Pork loin, potato salad, coleslaw and baked beans. They had a dog run, however, no clean up bags. Trash was picked up on Friday at 4:30 am...however they came the following Thursday at 9:30 am. They had an entire row of very large pull thru's for those staying just over night. Lots of shopping and restaurants very close. Just off I-10 with little noise. We camped at Gulf Coast RV Resort in a Fifth Wheel.

Frog City RV Park, Duson, Louisiana

Date of Stay: April, 2018 - $32.00
Overall Rating:

Greeted with cookies for both humans and puppies. Right off I-10 and next to a truck stop and hotel, but very little noise. Staff was very friendly and the manager is on his golf cart 7 days a week and willing to help with anything. Trash picked up from your site every day. 80% permanent residents with the rest being overnighters. 50% off for Escapee members. Sites are packed gravel and very level. Price included tax at the weekly rate. Roads were a little narrow. Would stay there again if passing through. We camped at Frog City RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Tips for other Campers:

Not too much to do in the area, however the Tabasco factory is about 45 minutes away and Mel's Diner was 10 minutes away.
