Nugget RV Park, St. Regis, Montana

Date of Stay: June, 2018 - $48.00
Overall Rating:

The owners of this park obviously take a great deal of pride in their facility and in ensuring a great customer experience. The grounds and buildings are meticulously maintained and attention is given to every detail. There are a number of nice hiking trails - some with beautiful views. The only problem we had was a fuzzy cable TV connection, with no air TV reception. Everything else was perfect. We camped at Nugget RV Park in a Travel Trailer.

Peaceful Pines RV Park, Cheney, Washington

Date of Stay: June, 2018 - $29.00
Overall Rating:

This is a small, but very nice park. When we called to make a reservation, the manager warned us that they were close to railroad tracks, but we were not bothered by the noise. There were quite a few trains, but they would blow their horns far from the park and the white noise from our fan blocked most of the sound out. We slept well and actually decided to extend our stay. The restrooms and showers were very clean and usually empty. The laundry room was beautiful and very comfortable with big, thickly padded sofas and a nice TV set. The manager was very friendly and helpful. We would definitely return to this park. It was great value for the money. We camped at Peaceful Pines RV Park in a Travel Trailer.

Tall Chief RV Resort - Thousand Trails, Fall City, Washington

Date of Stay: June, 2018 - $33.00
Overall Rating:

This is a really beautiful park. It has the flavor of a state park but has more amenities and is also cheaper. The staff were very friendly. It was very peaceful and quiet. There was no sewer at our site, but the dump station was empty when we needed it and we never saw a lineup. We would definitely return to this park. We camped at Tall Chief RV Resort - Thousand Trails in a Travel Trailer.

We drove to the Pike Place Market in Seattle. It was really cool. The early afternoon drive there took 37 minutes, but we got caught in rush hour traffic on the way back and our return took around an hour.

Riverbend Campground , Olympia, Washington

Date of Stay: June, 2018 - $43.00
Overall Rating:

We started off being quite excited about this park because it has many mature trees and is very scenic. The staff were friendly and registration was easy. However, we were disappointed to discover that the restrooms were poorly maintained and that they charge for the use of the showers, which were also not clean. The cable at our site had a damaged cord and did not work. There were very few air channels to be found. The nearby trains passed frequently and were often quite loud. We will not be returning to this park. We camped at Riverbend Campground in a Travel Trailer.

We drove to Olympia and toured the capital building. We're usually not into that sort of thing, but the tour guide was amazing, the building was spectacular and we really enjoyed it.

Paradise Point State Park, Ridgefield, Washington

Date of Stay: June, 2018 - $48.00
Overall Rating:

The park is nice, but it is definitely overpriced. We're used to Passport America and Good Sam discounts and typically get much higher value for what we paid here. They even charge you for the showers. The site was not very level and was quite noisy because of its proximity to the road. There was no cable, but the air reception was good. Unfortunately, we were not able to hike the trails because of heavy rain, so we can't comment with respect to the natural scenery. On the plus side, the staff were very friendly. However, we would not return because of the high price. We camped at Paradise Point State Park in a Travel Trailer.

Seal Rocks RV Cove, Seal Rock, Oregon

Date of Stay: June, 2018 - $46.00
Overall Rating:

This park is situated at an incredible ocean vista. There may have been a lot of amenities, but we frankly didn't take the time to check. We immediately headed down to the ocean (taking a very convenient path maintained by the park) and spent all our time exploring and taking photos. The park wifi worked well, as did cable and all the other hookups. It is a very short drive to town. We would definitely return to this park. We camped at Seal Rocks RV Cove in a Travel Trailer.

Osprey Point RV Resort, Lakeside, Oregon

Date of Stay: June, 2018 - $22.00
Overall Rating:

This park provided outstanding value for the money. Everything is well-maintained and functions well. They have pretty much every amenity imaginable. However, the most pleasant surprise was the exceptional friendliness and helpfulness of the young lady at the registration desk. The weather was terrible but she really brightened our day. We would definitely return to this park. We camped at Osprey Point RV Resort in a Travel Trailer.

Salmon Harbor RV Resort, Smith River, California

Date of Stay: June, 2018 - $25.00
Overall Rating:

This park provides a beautiful view of the ocean. We saw lots of seals lounging on the other side of the lagoon. Lots of nice landscaping. Everything was clean and worked well. They have a large library of books and videos that can be borrowed. Great value for the money. The staff and residents were friendly. The only downside was the long check-in process. We had to provide information verbally and then write the same information on a form. This is also the first place that ever requested copying the registration for our trailer. Otherwise, everything was great, and we would certainly return to this park. We camped at Salmon Harbor RV Resort in a Travel Trailer.

Kamp Klamath RV Park, Klamath, California

Date of Stay: June, 2018 - $20.00
Overall Rating:

The staff were very friendly and helpful. We had a slight problem with the power receptacle and they immediately came and fixed it. Wifi never did work for us and the cable tv was fuzzy, but the surrounding nature hikes are amazing. From what we could see as we drove around, this seemed to be the nicest RV park in the area. We would certainly return again. We camped at Kamp Klamath RV Park in a Travel Trailer.

Richardson Grove Campground & RV Park, Garberville, California

Date of Stay: June, 2018 - $20.00
Overall Rating:

This is a beautiful park with many mature trees. The staff were very friendly and the price was right. It was less than half occupied when we visited in early June, so we had lots of space. A number of things needed repair (e.g., two washing machines, one dryer, one shower, a lock on one restroom stall) but there were lots of alternates available, so we were not affected. Presumably, these things will be repaired before the peak season. We did not have cable at our site and there was no air TV reception, but it was nice to just relax and listen to the sounds of nature. We enjoyed our stay at this park and would definitely return. We camped at Richardson Grove Campground & RV Park in a Travel Trailer.

We visited the Chandelier Drive-thru Tree in Leggett (approx.. 15 minute drive - $10 per car) but there are many other Redwood-related sites nearby. Most are listed in a brochure entitled "Avenue of the Giants", available at the park office.

Northport Mobile Home and RV Park, Lakeport, California

Date of Stay: June, 2018 - $16.00
Overall Rating:

This park provided the best value we have ever received for our money. We arrived without reservations (apparently they don't take reservations anyway) and were escorted to a beautiful back-in site on the lake. The manager helped guide us into our spot and gave us lots of tips on what to do locally and within his park. We elected to stay in the park and spent most of our time in the common area near the boat launch watching the osprey fishing and feeding their young. There were many other interesting birds as well, and we could actually watch most of them from the comfort of our trailer, which was overlooking the lake. There was no cable and no air tv, but we didn't miss it. We would definitely return to this park. We camped at Northport Mobile Home and RV Park in a Travel Trailer.

Dutch Flat RV Resort, Dutch Flat, California

Date of Stay: June, 2018 - $25.00
Overall Rating:

The roads in the park are a little bit rough, but we drove very slow so things worked out fine. The park is very scenic, with many, large, mature trees. We were assigned to the group camp area, which was mostly empty and very quiet. The restrooms were clean, but they were unisex and seemed to be accessible to any of the large number of people with keys. The camp hostess was very friendly and helpful and the residents were also friendly and polite. We did not have cable, but air reception was good. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would certainly return to this park. It is great value for the money. The map provided for the hike down to the creek is not the best. However, the hike is nice. Just wear lots of bug spray, keep close track of which way you came, and watch out for snakes in the leaves at the side of the trail. We camped at Dutch Flat RV Resort in a Travel Trailer.

Grand Sierra Resort RV Park, Reno, Nevada

Date of Stay: June, 2018 - $50.00
Overall Rating:

This resort was full of pleasant surprises. The staff were very friendly; it was quieter than expected, even though it is close to the airport; the nearby aqua golf driving range was fun. However, the biggest surprise was having access to all of the hotel's awesome amenities, including the liveliest pool you'll probably ever see, the business centre, the bars, shops, restaurants, fitness center and movie theatre. We're not gamblers, so we didn't go to the casino, but there are many other things to do at the hotel. We camped at Grand Sierra Resort RV Park in a Travel Trailer.

Campground by the Lake, South Lake Tahoe, California

Date of Stay: June, 2018 - $50.00
Overall Rating:

We showed up an hour before check-in, but they let us in anyway. The staff were not as friendly as most other places we've visited, but they were not rude either. The campsites are beautiful with many mature trees. However, the sites are small and we had to share a water pedestal with several other sites. We had 30 amp electrical, but no sewer. The neighbors were loud and the sound of traffic was louder than expected as well. The restrooms were dirty and there was no soap dispenser. There was no air or cable TV. The site is pretty much in the middle of town and it only takes a few minutes to walk to the beach. It is also just a short drive to many great hiking areas. However, we would probably not return to this park, mainly because of the high cost. We camped at Campground by the Lake in a Travel Trailer.

Paradise Shores RV Park, Bridgeport, California

Date of Stay: June, 2018 - $34.00
Overall Rating:

The staff were exceptionally helpful and friendly. The view from all the sites is about as good as it gets: lake, meadows and mountains. The restrooms were very clean and the showers were warm and had adequate pressure. Kayaks were available for use, free of charge. Everything at the site worked well but there was no cable or air TV. The proprietor explained that cable service had been cut off when the region moved to fiber optics and that he would have a fiber optic connection soon. Although the sites were a bit closer together than we would have liked, the beautiful view and the excellent service made up for it. We would definitely return to this camp.
