We enjoyed this park. KOA has taken it over in the last year, so the updates are starting to happen. We stayed in a gravel site, level, backed by large trees, so had shade during the hottest part of the day. Some sites have trees/bushes between them, but we opted for the spot with the most shade. The park was very quiet, probably less than 1/3 full when we were here. WiFi was excellent, and there was some TV, if that's important. There are 2 fenced dog areas, but you can walk your dogs around the park. Food stores/restaurants are at minimum 5 miles away, and there is a large Walmart and other stores about 12 miles away - that to say, it's pretty quiet and out of the way. The pool was clean, and while the showers are old, they are clean. Apparently they are in the process of updating these. Every staff member I encountered was very friendly, and extremely helpful. We changed our booking from 3 night to 10, no problems - they made sure we could keep the same site. We would stay here again. We camped at Palm Springs / Joshua Tree KOA (formerly Desert Pools RV Resort) in a Travel Trailer.
Walmart and Costco a 20 minute drive. Joshua Tree Park about 40 miles.
