Sunset Bay State Park, Coos Bay, Oregon

Date of Stay: August, 2018 - $31.00
Overall Rating:

Nice quiet park, small beach, several trails. Beach was good for small children since it was in the bay and is very flat The issue from a previous review of mud in the tunnel on the path to the beach has been resolved. Pallets and plywood provide an elevated walking surface We camped at Sunset Bay State Park in a Motorhome.

Harris Beach State Park, Brookings, Oregon

Date of Stay: August, 2018 - $30.00
Overall Rating:

Very nice park with good beach access. Looked like some upgrades had been done to paths and asphalt parking pads at each site. Hedges had been pruned severely so less privacy than before pruning but not a big issue. Would avoid spaces around playground unless you have children. We camped at Harris Beach State Park in a Motorhome.

Beverly Beach State Park, Newport, Oregon

Date of Stay: May, 2018 - $34.00
Overall Rating:

Very quiet campground. Easy beach access and a nice nature trail. Was able to check in when we arrived at 1 PM even though official time was 4 PM. Some spotty T-Mobile coverage near the beach, No Service in F loop. Several OTA channels available but CBS was not consistent in F loop Had some issues with my power surge suppressor, it shutoff at least thee times per day on reverse polarity. The camp host indicated electrical work was being done in the park for water treatment upgrades so that might have been the cause. Will be back! We camped at Beverly Beach State Park in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

Great beach for dog to run on! Several fossilized seashells were embedded in the cliffs primarily to south of park. We found some on beach. Small tide pools on beach north of park if you walk to base of Otter Rock.

Southern Oregon RV Park (Jackson County Park), Central Point, Oregon

Date of Stay: May, 2018 - $38.00
Overall Rating:

Nice new park but very little shade. As the planted trees mature this will change. We heard the freeway at night but it was not bad. Was a good spot for 1 night while driving back from California. My dump connection on my C RV was barely higher than the sewer connection on the site I was assigned but made it work. Bear Creek bike path is very close and we will use it next time if we stay more than overnight. We camped at Southern Oregon RV Park (Jackson County Park) in a Motorhome.

Bakersfield River Run RV Park, Bakersfield, California

Date of Stay: May, 2018 - $42.00
Overall Rating:

Overnight stay with after 5 PM arrival. Had no issues finding site. Clean restrooms and showers. Wish we had the code to the gates that led to the path by the river bed. WiFi was spotty at times but outstanding cable tv connection. If we had a bit more time we would have walked to one of the local establishments. We camped at Bakersfield River Run RV Park in a Motorhome.

Heritage RV Park, Corning, California

Date of Stay: May, 2018 - $32.00
Overall Rating:

Very nice park in Corning. Convenient to I5 and restaurants. Only nit pick was cable TV, which was marginal and had few channels. WiFi was good although we lost contact a couple of times. Small pet area allowed us to let our dog off lease for some exercise after being in the motor home for several hours Is a good stop on our trips south from the Willamette Valley, will be back. We camped at Heritage RV Park in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

Olive Pit was very close and the park gave us a discount coupon. Little Caesars & Subway are even closer.

Seal Rocks RV Cove, Seal Rock, Oregon

Date of Stay: April, 2018 - $43.00
Overall Rating:

Nice access to the beach across Highway 101 and great tide pool exploring available. Highway noise was noticeable but not loud and did not effect our sleep. Could hear the sound of the surf which was soothing. Our 1st RV experience went very smoothly since the hookups were very easy to use. The Park WiFi went down a couple of times and our T-Mobile HotSpots were very spotty but had very little impact on our stay. Small park with short hedges in the area we were in. We camped at Seal Rocks RV Cove in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

Site 23 is listed as a view site versus an ocean view site but has an ocean view plus is further from the Highway if light vehicle traffic noise bothers you.
