Rock Creek RV Park, Twin Falls, Idaho

Date of Stay: October, 2018 - $20.00
Overall Rating:

Stayed one night, very quiet, there seemed to be some industrial background noise but not significant. Nice trails to walk the dog on. We chose a back in site in the "upper section" it had a severe slope but we were able to level the coach using two sets of blocks. The host was on site and seemed pleasant. Directions to a dump site about a mile away where posted on the board with the self pay informaiton. Very easy to get to and was on the way back to the interstate for us. We camped at Rock Creek RV Park in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

A trip to see Shoshone Falls is worth while especially when the Snake River has lots of water. It did not during this trip. The route down to the viewpoint is steep with multiple turns, our 24 foot motorhome made it but not sure if others could. There was RV & Bus parking in the lot at the viewpoint so they expect people to make it.

Red Desert Rose Campground (formerly RV World Campground), Rawlins, Wyoming

Date of Stay: October, 2018 - $34.00
Overall Rating:

One night stay at park near the interstate. Very noisy. Very few campers were here yet our neighbor and I got the two muddiest sites in the campground. Luckily there was a hard freeze overnight so the mud was frozen. Not sure why the people that were so nice would pick those spots. I think they had done some winterization which narrowed down the sites to select for use. One set of blocks on passenger side to level. The laundromat was convenient and clean. The low cleanliness rating was for the mud. We camped at Red Desert Rose Campground (formerly RV World Campground) in a Motorhome.

Ellis Lakeside Campground, Ellis, Kansas

Date of Stay: October, 2018 - $20.00
Overall Rating:

Campground at local park. It rained nearly the whole time we were there so did not see much of the area. They had local WiFi services which was nice. Sie was nearly level so no blocks. The dump station was very convenient next to the restroom facility. Lot's of local traffic on the roads on either side, several seemed to be coming to look at the water flow since KS was getting unexpected amounts of rain. Nice park for a one night stay We camped at Ellis Lakeside Campground in a Motorhome.

Fleming Park/Blue Springs Campground, Blue Springs, Missouri

Date of Stay: October, 2018 - $33.00
Overall Rating:

One night stay, close to the interstate. Very large gravel area with firepit and picnic table. Very quiet location even with the easy freeway access. Had to level the coach to the slope of the site but not excessive. Very few people at the campground which appeared to be very well maintained. We camped at Fleming Park/Blue Springs Campground in a Motorhome.

Kaskaskia Dragon RV Park, Vandalia, Illinois

Date of Stay: October, 2018 - $30.00
Overall Rating:

One night stay. The park is a gravel lot with full hookups, not much else. There is a laundromat, liquor store and a car/dog wash across the street, in addition to the hardware store. We used the green area behind the businesses to run our dog. Pretty quiet yet easy to access the interstate. Would only use as a stop over. We camped at Kaskaskia Dragon RV Park in a Motorhome.

Deer Creek State Park, Mt Sterling, Ohio

Date of Stay: October, 2018 - $37.00
Overall Rating:

One night stay while driving though OH on I-70. The state campground that we wanted to stay at was booked and this one was pretty far off our route but turned out OK. The camp was nearly full but seemed to have multiple items for families to do, disk golf, mini golf, basketball, playgrounds, short BMX course, etc. Our site had two stumps on the sunny side of the space so it was in the sun on a hot day. The asphalt site was close enough to level we did not use blocks Multiple shower houses made access easy. Would stay again if we lived in the vicinity. We camped at Deer Creek State Park in a Motorhome.

Four Mile Creek State Park, Youngstown, New York

Date of Stay: October, 2018 - $36.00
Overall Rating:

Stayed here while visiting Niagara Falls. Campground was full for Columbus Day weekend since one loop was closed for the season. With only one restroom/shower in our loop & no paths it was a long walk from site 227. The hot shower was worth the walk Very easy to drive from 4 Mile Creek to Niagara Falls State Park & your parking pass is accepted there Our site was dry but not very level, several sites had standing water when we arrived. We camped at Four Mile Creek State Park in a Motorhome.

Geneva State Park, Geneva, Ohio

Date of Stay: October, 2018 - $45.00
Overall Rating:

Very clean park with concrete pads that make it very easy to park & level. We only overnighted but there were beautiful bike paths that we wished we had time for. Park was relatively empty mid-week. The lady checking us in was very nice & made sure we had a map & directions to our campground. Would like to come back to stay a few days to explore Geneva & the covered bridges in the area. We camped at Geneva State Park in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

The shortest covered bridge in the US was only 1 block off our route out of town. Not an historic bridge but a neat site to see since it was so close

Kellogg RV Park, Kellogg, Iowa

Date of Stay: September, 2018 - $28.00
Overall Rating:

Quick 1 night stay over. Easy access from I80 with check in at the Phillips 66 gas station. Could hear the interstate but not loud. Facilities were excellent for a quick stay. Did not try WiFi if available, T-Mobile hot spots were enough for Internet. Gravel pad with minimal leveling required. Would stay again. We camped at Kellogg RV Park in a Motorhome.

Vedauwoo Campground USFS, Laramie, Wyoming

Date of Stay: September, 2018 - $5.00
Overall Rating:

Forest Service campground, wish we could have stayed longer. Almost no amenities but that is expected.

When arriving at the first pay booth, if unoccupied proceed to campground area. There are two more self serve locations, one at the entrance to each of the two loops.

The site we stayed at was paved but had a slope so required leveling We camped at Vedauwoo Campground USFS in a Motorhome.

Site 25 is very loud at the far end of the park due to road noise. Picnic table was on the "wrong" side of RV so was not usable. VERY Clean park with good cable but marginal wifi (we were at far end). Would stay again for 1 night. We camped at Golden Spike RV Park in a Motorhome.

Vale Trails RV Park , Vale, Oregon

Date of Stay: September, 2018 - $40.00
Overall Rating:

One night stay in Eastern Oregon so park was adequate. The park was full so an additional RV parked next to us in a space that was not on the map making it quite cramped. Rules indicated dogs should be on leases but what looked like a permanent camper had a big dog that charged us until the owner called him off (luckily) Restrooms adequate, clean but dated. The lights in the men's shower did not work so when restroom lights on timer went out it was relatively dark Park was quiet, cable with 12 channels and adequate Wifi. We camped at Vale Trails RV Park in a Motorhome.

Sunset Bay State Park, Coos Bay, Oregon

Date of Stay: August, 2018 - $31.00
Overall Rating:

Nice quiet park, small beach, several trails. Beach was good for small children since it was in the bay and is very flat The issue from a previous review of mud in the tunnel on the path to the beach has been resolved. Pallets and plywood provide an elevated walking surface We camped at Sunset Bay State Park in a Motorhome.
