Lakehead Boat Basin, Duluth, Minnesota

Date of Stay: August, 2007 - $35.00
Overall Rating:

Excellent location on park point just over the scenic lift bridge. The Duluth aquarium, sandy beach on Lake Superior and 2 maritime museums as well as several top notch restaurants are in walking/biking distance. We spent a week there. Owner is somewhat indifferent to the campers as he is really a boat basin and dock for yachts. Spaces are adequate and paved-no grass. Back in only. Hookups are all top notch 50 amp, sewer etc. WiFi is $8 a day-Ouch! Would stay again just for the location-services are adequate but not exceptional. It is fenced in with card access through a gate so security is good. Showers are free and fairly clean. No swimming or recreation in the park really. We camped at Lakehead Boat Basin in a Travel Trailer.

Medora Campground, Medora, North Dakota

Date of Stay: July, 2007 - $30.00
Overall Rating:

The place is not fancy but it is clean. There is a pool available for free but it is across town. The campground is run well and was quiet. There is a small store with friendly staff. The hookups were fine. We camped at Medora Campground in a Motorhome.

Chris' Camp, Spearfish, South Dakota

Date of Stay: July, 2007 - $28.00
Overall Rating:

Awesome park. Has nice shade trees. Pool was nice, clean and heated just right. The showers cost 25 cents and are a bit old but clean. The owners can provide dog walking and babysitting service for your dogs too! We will take our dog knowing that next time. Nice store and the owners live on site and are very nice. Convenient sewage dump on the way out. Great family oriented camp. We camped at Chris' Camp in a Travel Trailer.
