Spruce Park on the River, Kalispell, Montana

Date of Stay: July, 2018 - $40.00
Overall Rating:

This is by far the best campground we've ever stayed at. The staff is beyond friendly and helpful. They are extremely pet friendly which is SO hard to find. Huge open fields where you can take your pets as well. There is plenty of space between campers, some more than others of course but you aren't slide to slide. Lots of room for kids to run or ride their bikes. It's right on the river so you get some incredible gorgeous views and sunsets! The highway noise really isn't bad either because you are below it. The cottonwood trees add a great touch to this place providing shade. This place is amazing! Make sure to drive slow as there are tons of kids playing or riding their bikes. We camped at Spruce Park on the River in a Travel Trailer.

Washington Land Yacht Harbor, Olympia, Washington

Date of Stay: April, 2018 - $28.00
Overall Rating:

It's a gravel parking lot basically. All stalls are back in which isn't a huge issue, hook ups are directly behind each spot, we had to go buy a sewer extension which we've never had to do at any other park. Some spaces look level but we also had to go buy more blocks to place under the back end because it drops majorly in the back, plus putting some under the tires just to be able to empty our tanks (again at such a slope). You are packed in like sardines. I'd hate to see this place during busy season with people coming/going. All vehicles are required to park parallel in front of the camper, definitely not enough room to park next to them if someone is there. They have an overflow space for a second vehicle but it's a trek located in their storage area if you are anywhere but right next to it. They allow others to do one thing, but say you can't when you ask, which I can not stand in a campground, very poor taste. Staff is somewhat friendly. There are trees and grass, but it's down at the back part of their property near the storage parking as well. They have a dog run but didn't use it either. I really wouldn't stay here again just for the simple fact of others are allowed to do one thing, but then they say no when you ask. Not a good place to stay with kids either since there isn't much in park stuff to do, no playground. Small open field down at the back part again where storage is. Close to town/freeway. No laundry. And only 1 picnic table per entire row. We camped at Washington Land Yacht Harbor in a Travel Trailer.
