Hidden Valley Ranch, Deming, New Mexico

Date of Stay: April, 2018 - $10.00
Overall Rating:

Park is at the end of 7 miles of gravel road but worth the trip for extended stay. Not recommended for 1 night. Great for ATV OR OHV. Lots of trails right from park. Very friendly owners and long time campers. Planned to spend a week and ended up staying two. Campground is nestled in a valley Phone service fair near the club house. Park has its own WiFi which was good. Will definitely return We camped at Hidden Valley Ranch in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

Trip to Deming was easy with our tow vehicle. Two grocery stores(super Walmart and Peppers). Great free museum in Deming, wineries and smaller stores. Be prepared for peace and quiet. Bring your "sit back and relax mode"

Butterfield RV Resort & Observatory, Benson, Arizona

Date of Stay: April, 2018 - $20.00
Overall Rating:

Great park. Large level gravel sites. Fair cable TV. Friendly staff and friendly campers. Paved road. Stayed there in 2005 and it was good then and has only gotten better. There is an active train track nearby so train whistles are frequent. Wonderful pool and hot tub. Pickle ball court available and they lend out paddles and balls. We camped at Butterfield RV Resort & Observatory in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

They have a group that goes out ATV/OHV riding every week. They are very welcoming. Had a great time. Close to Walmart and walking distance to Safeway, tractor supply, post office and health clinic if needed.

Tombstone Territories RV Resort, Huachuca City, Arizona

Date of Stay: April, 2018 - $33.00
Overall Rating:

We wanted to stay at Tombstone for a few reasons. We did a drive through several years ago and thought the setting was beautiful. Also In Passport America it featured ATV riding however, there was no information available to guide us to that offered activity. Staff was not knowledgeable concerning this advertised activity. Also felt that check in was slow and the staff not competent in this area. Expect to spend about 40 min to check in or out The gravel site was not level and we were unable to completely level without lifting wheels off the ground. We found the long term people not friendly or welcoming. I would not recommend nor would I return to this park. We are full timers since 2004 and have a great deal of experience with RV parks. We camped at Tombstone Territories RV Resort in a Motorhome.
