Camp Bullfrog Lake, Willow Springs, Illinois

Date of Stay: May, 2018 - $45.00
Overall Rating:

Had a nice site overlooking the lake. The MAIN reason we stayed here was its proximity to Chicago. 1/2 hour to 45 minutes depending on traffic. Great to be able to set up shop that close to the city. We camped at Camp Bullfrog Lake in a Motorhome.

Johnny Appleseed Campground, Fort Wayne, Indiana

Date of Stay: May, 2018 - $22.00
Overall Rating:

Nice little park in the middle of Fort Wayne. Right next to the Johnny Appleseed gravesite! Hosts were friendly and accommodating and keep the campgrounds in great shape. Sites are close to each other, but there is a lot of green space surrounding the campground. Saw some deer our first day there. No sewer, but they have a honey wagon if you need it. Lots of tall trees. We weren't able to get satellite TV at our site (14) because of them. But a number of sites had clear "sight lines" for Satellite. We camped at Johnny Appleseed Campground in a Motorhome.

Korbel East Campgrounds - Ohio Expo Center, Columbus, Ohio

Date of Stay: April, 2018 - $35.00
Overall Rating:

We stayed here because it is convenient for seeing Columbus, Ohio. It is not pretty! It is on the grounds of the Ohio Expo Center/Ohio State Fairgrounds. It is right next to train tracks. Trains run all the time. The sites are not well maintained. They're grassy and have some concrete parts. It is expensive for the quality of the sites. The power was fine, the water pressure was okay and it had a sewer "holes", but no way to screw it in. The only reason to stay here is for convenience. We camped at Korbel East Campgrounds - Ohio Expo Center in a Motorhome.

Hoffman Lake Campground, Warsaw, Indiana

Date of Stay: April, 2018 - $38.00
Overall Rating:

We stayed 4 nights. Sites were close together. Roads very narrow. We have a 40', 13'6" high motorhome. It felt tight to us, although we fit fine. Water pressure was low. Wifi was fine. The lake is nice. Lots of weekend campers go there. Good location for visiting the heritage trail locations of northwest Indiana. We camped at Hoffman Lake Campground in a Motorhome.

Hidden Ridge RV Resort, Hopkins, Michigan

Date of Stay: April, 2018 - $30.00
Overall Rating:

This was our first stop in our new RV and our first full time experience. We spent the week learning how to use the RV. It was wintry weather. There were very few people here. It is a beautiful, nicely laid out park. Because of the time of year, many things were not open. They have a pool and fitness center and many, many other amenities. If you're looking for a place to stay in the Grand Rapids area, this would be hard to beat. We camped at Hidden Ridge RV Resort in a Motorhome.
