Nugget RV Park, St. Regis, Montana

Date of Stay: September, 2018 - $45.00
Overall Rating:

We stayed in our 38' motorhome. Our site was level and utilities worked fine. Staff was friendly and helpful. Easy access to highway. Only complaint was there was a tree very close to the entrance to the site. It made getting into with our toad a bit tight, but the guy who escorted us to the site gave great directions. Did not use the facilities or the WiFi. AT&T worked great. Would stay here again, but in a different site. We camped at Nugget RV Park in a Motorhome.

Creekwood Inn and RV Park, Anchorage, Alaska

Date of Stay: May, 2018 - $44.00
Overall Rating:

If you are looking for a place to park your rig with full hookups and are not looking for amenities, this is a great place. All sites are back in only and you can not park your tow at your site. Tow parking is at the Inn. It is close, but prefer my tow with me. Sites are gravel and level, but very close together. No room for awning if you have a slide. With that being said, it was a perfect spot for us to spend the night. We needed to resupply while in Anchorage and everything we needed was within a few miles. The highway is very close, but I wasn't bothered by the noise. I would stay here again. We camped at Creekwood Inn and RV Park in a Motorhome.

Sourdough Campground, Tok, Alaska

Date of Stay: April, 2018 - $30.00
Overall Rating:

Very spacious level site. It was only an overnight for us but we would definitely stay there again. Since it was so early in the season, the water was not on and we had to use the sewer dump on the way out of the park. Interior roads are very easy to navigate. No issues with power and we used our own wi-fi. Great coverage with AT&T. We camped at Sourdough Campground in a Motorhome.

Hot Springs Campground & Hostel, Whitehorse, Yukon

Date of Stay: April, 2018 - $30.00
Overall Rating:

If we had stayed later in the season, perhaps I would have been happier. The website claims they are open all year, but don't expect much in April. None of the 50 amp sites were open. No water. No sewer (there is a dump station we were told, but did not look for it). Wi-fi was a joke. The outlet for the 30 amp was upside down. The hot springs are not part of the park, but you do get discounted admission with the RV park receipt. The site was somewhat level. The only up side was there is plenty of room between the sites, even though I think we were the only ones in the park. We camped at Hot Springs Campground & Hostel in a Motorhome.

Gold Trail RV Park, Clinton, British Columbia

Date of Stay: April, 2018 - $20.00
Overall Rating:

Traveling to Alaska in early spring does not leave a lot of choices for places to stay. The price with Passport America was $20US or $25C, cash. The park did not look completely open, no BBQ or wi-fi. Both my husband and I found the owner entertaining and helpful. I can see how some people might not appreciate his humor, but we did. He also helped us with our route, advising us on bad road conditions. Our site was a pull through on the back row. We had no problem navigating the interior roads in our 38' motor home w/tow. The site itself was gravel with a grassy area and picnic table. We had no trouble leveling or connecting to utilities. We weren't bothered by the road noise, but it is a major road. The town of Clinton is within walking distance. We would stay here again. We camped at Gold Trail RV Park in a Motorhome.

Catfish Junction RV Park & Campgrounds, Huntington, Oregon

Date of Stay: April, 2018 - $29.00
Overall Rating:

Great park, about 3 miles off I-84. They no longer accept PA but they do offer the Good Sam discount. Park is easy in, easy out. Gravel roads in the park. Sites are fairly level and have a small grassy area with a picnic table. Our site would have been less but we paid the extra $2 for 50 amp. Owners are friendly and helpful. Nice store. Boat launch for campers and lots of fishing on the Snake River. Would love to go back when we can stay longer. There are active train tracks across the river, but I didn't find it bothersome. We camped at Catfish Junction RV Park & Campgrounds in a Motorhome.

City of Bridgeport - Marina Park, Bridgeport, Washington

Date of Stay: April, 2018 - $30.00
Overall Rating:

Well cared for city park on the Columbia River. 21 paved sites, all priced at $30/night for 50 amp. The back row is a little narrow at 10' wide. Water pressure was good, no issues with electrical service or sewer. No wi-fi, but we had good reception with AT&T. Park has a boat launch, playground, horseshoe pits and more. I would definitely stay here again. We camped at City of Bridgeport - Marina Park in a Motorhome.

Sun Valley RV Resort (formerly Root 66 RV Park), Sun Valley, Arizona

Date of Stay: April, 2018 - $21.00
Overall Rating:

We stayed at Sun Valley RV resort due to its proximity to The Petrified National Forest. It was a great jumping off point for local excursions. The owners were very friendly and welcoming. When we extended our stay, we moved to a 30 amp site. We did not use their wi-fi but had great reception with AT&T. The park is undergoing some positive changes which will help it live up to the term "resort". Despite how close it is to the highway, I did not find the road noise bothersome at all. We would definitely stay there again. We camped at Sun Valley RV Resort (formerly Root 66 RV Park) in a Motorhome.
