Sandy Valley Campground, White Haven, Pennsylvania

Date of Stay: July, 2008 - $28.00
Overall Rating:

This is the worst campground I've ever been to in my life. Website shows nice pictures of the playground, pool , and gameroom. Those pictures had to be a couple years old. Gameroom is closed and full of junk. Pool was a nice shade of green. Playground was not taken care of and missing different pieces. The bathrooms weren't cleaned except dumping the garbage and the showers were pathetic. Two of the seven shower stalls worked; however, they were filthy and no hot water. Sites were a decent size but not taken care of. Broken picnic tables throughout campground including ours and exposed steel thru-out coming out of the ground from falling apart retaining walls. This is a real hazard to children. I would not go back here if it was free. For $28 I expect more. Its worth about 5 bucks. And lake in picture is only a pond , roads throughout were terrible. We camped at Sandy Valley Campground in a Tent Trailer.

This was our second trip and it is beautiful, lake is catch and release fishing, nice pool,3 playground areas nice little store with hand dipped ice cream and your basic needs, they also have a Bluegrass Festival in Sept. I can't say enough about how nice this campground is . The only down fall is its a long windy road on the way in.. We camped at Pine Cradle Lake Campground in a Tent Trailer.

Brennan Beach RV Resort, Pulaski, New York

Date of Stay: August, 2007 - $38.00
Overall Rating:

Like the last review first the bad, no soap or towels in the bathrooms but they were clean, not even a dryer. No garbage cans like one of the last reviews and also the dumpster closes at 5:00 which makes no since. Now the good the sites are very nice and large , the place is mostly seasonal but that did not really effect us the sites in the wooded section are excellent all sites were full hook up with cable and overall I was very pleased with the amenities. We will be going back next year and plan on staying longer also the beach was a bit rocky but it had awesome views and the kids actually thought it was the ocean. We camped at Brennan Beach RV Resort in a Tent Trailer.

We rented 2 sites for this weekend and one site did not have power because elec box was missing a weather proof cap, also the grass had not been cut in a while ,garbage was littered thru out sites including the fire rings , broken glass thru out site did not make these sites kid friendly at all, my first and last visit to this campground. Pool area was clean and so was playground. We camped at Highland Campgrounds in a Tent Trailer.
