Raymond B. Winter State Park, Mifflinburg, Pennsylvania

Date of Stay: September, 2018 - $34.00
Overall Rating:

Large sites but very tight roads driving to sites, trees close to road. Driving a 37 ft Motor home with a toad - difficult, narrow one way roads, very hilly, tough to find a level place in road to unhook toad. Gavel sites. Paved road in campground. Picnic tables and fire rings.Very wooded (really tall trees), no satellite. No cell reception. Beautiful area, but you better have dvd's or other entertainment if you are going to stay long. If booked in advance, just go to site, no need to check in at office. Sites well marked. Roads leading to campground are 2 lane and rather tight. Our site was a 45 ft site, with 50 amp power, no water or sewer. Some sites had water but many are 30 amp. We camped at Raymond B. Winter State Park in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

Best to unhook your toad before entering the camp loop and definitely pull your motor home out to a parking lot before hooking up the toad. Very tight roads inside campground (one way roads) and difficult to maneuver a 37 ft motor home. Really need a good spotter to back in to the spaces due to the tight trees (and tight trees on roadway out). Roads leading into campground two lane and very winding. After all, well worth the visit. Beautiful park and lake for fishing.

Camp Charles, Bangor, Pennsylvania

Date of Stay: September, 2018 - $45.00
Overall Rating:

Very small park, very crowded, almost all seasonal campers, very noisy and smoky from everyone having a fire in their fire ring. Only 30 amp service, very weak WiFi, which had so many people on it, I could not even connect. Very narrow roads inside park crowded with multitude of kids walking around and golf carts. Very windy narrow roads to get to the camp. I have a 37 ft Motor home with a toad and it was difficult. I had talked with them about a larger site. I got probably the only one that I could back in the 37 ft MC. We camped at Camp Charles in a Motorhome.

Mohegan Sun Casino, Uncasville, Connecticut

Date of Stay: September, 2018 - $1.00
Overall Rating:

Not really a campground. Very large RV paved parking lot with plenty of room for selecting a site to park, reasonably level and motorhome was able to level. Only spent one night for dinner and night at the casino. Free shuttle runs about every 10 minutes. Great lot overlooking the river and the casino. Great place to spend a week or a day dry camping. You can secure a permit in advance on the internet or call the phone number posted at the lot and the security will show up almost immediately. We camped at Mohegan Sun Casino in a Motorhome.

Normandy Farms, Foxboro, Massachusetts

Date of Stay: September, 2018 - $66.00
Overall Rating:

Very large park, gravel roads and large gravel spaces many with concrete patios. Spaces are very open with lots of room. Several pools including an indoor pool. Very nice personnel. They lead you to your space. Number code must be used for incoming or going out. Very high water pressure (80-100), must have a regulator. Nice roads inside park. Nice easy access roads to get to park. Very weak WiFI. Many spaces are open enough for satelite but many are surrounded by trees (their site map is very accurate showing the trees). We camped at Normandy Farms in a Motorhome.

Very nice park. Well maintained. Gravel roads and gravel spaces. Fairly level. Many trees, no satellite service but camp has Direct TV and pretty good WiFi. Woodside Lake Park, Streetsboro, Ohio

Date of Stay: June, 2018
Overall Rating:

Did not camp here. Was checking out to park motorhome before we left the area. Roads narrow and full of potholes. Muddy, had rained the night before. Office no help, did not take me to site, just gave me a map. Roads are not named. Lucky I was in my car, got lost twice. Did not take site. Many seasonal and getting pretty run down. Could not have pulled MH into site. Gravel site. Very unlevel. Would not stay here. We camped at Woodside Lake Park in a Motorhome.
