Lake Myers RV Resort, Mocksville, North Carolina

Date of Stay: July, 2007 - $40.00
Overall Rating:

Like some other reviewers, I agree that the CG felt more like a trailer park. Most sites were permanent. The sites were close together, but did have shade. The restrooms were old and not cleaned very often. Half of the time the toilet paper would not flush down. Everyone seemed to have a golfcart and drove them down the roads at all hours of the night. Kids, (pre-teens and teens), were a nuisance. They were left unattended at the pool, playground, basketball court, etc. The pools were big and fairly clean. The pools were the best part of the campground. The people at the CG were also friendly. However, I will not be back due to the overall atmosphere. We camped at Lake Myers RV Resort in a Travel Trailer.

Deep River Campground & RV Park, Asheboro, North Carolina

Date of Stay: July, 2007 - $25.00
Overall Rating:

A lot of permanent sites. Residents not overly friendly. Employees at check in were friendly. The two pools were nice. The bathrooms were relatively clean as were the showers. The sites are close together and not level. Would not camp here again. We camped at Deep River Campground & RV Park in a Travel Trailer.

Lost Mine Campground, Bryson City, North Carolina

Date of Stay: June, 2007 - $15.00
Overall Rating:

This campground is very convenient if you are going to the Nantahala Outdoor Center, but I will try someplace difference next time. The sites are spread out on a very busy road. When walking to the bath house I thought more than once I was going to be hit by a car speeding down the road. We camped in a tent with no access to electricity that was near a stream which would have been nice if it wasn't so close to the road and road noise. We arrived in the evening and the woman who checked us in wasn't very friendly. The bathrooms and showers were clean. We camped at Lost Mine Campground in a Tent.
