Emporia RV Park, Emporia, Kansas

Date of Stay: May, 2018 - $37.00
Overall Rating:

I came in on May 16th. and no one in the office, note said pick a site and we will be in at 4:00PM. My first site was very uneven and when I hooked up to electric, the service was out. I moved to another site and set up. I went to the office at 4:30 and was informed that a 50 amp site was $37.00. Not the most friendly staff, the sites were not marked well, so they had to make a trip to my camper to get the number. I live in RV parks an average of two weeks a month and this one would not be a planned return. Also I was informed that 12:00 PM was check out time. The WiFi was poor and no local TV channels with antenna. The sites are pretty close to each other and the Kansas Turnpike and Hwy 50 traffic noise is 24/7. We camped at Emporia RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Tips for other Campers:

Emporia is a college town, downtown active. A side trip to Cottonwood Falls is worth the effort, nice old town with camping in the city park and a interesting down town with shops and a couple of eateries.

Santa Fe Lake, Augusta, Kansas

Date of Stay: May, 2018 - $21.00
Overall Rating:

I came in on Sunday May 13 and left on May 16 2018. This is a City Park located between Augusta & Andover, KS. It is a nice quiet park with electric only at the sites. Lots of birds and game to watch and offers fishing with Kansas Fishing License. I had a nice shady site and only two other campers around. With antenna I got over 30 channels. No WiFi in the park! If you are looking for something less commercial this might fill the bill. The resident park manager is friendly and helpful. $16.00 for 30 amp and $21.00 for 50 amp. Just a few miles to Augusta and Andover. I will go back the next time in the area. Good Value! We camped at Santa Fe Lake in a Fifth Wheel.

Camelot RV Campground, Poplar Bluff, Missouri

Date of Stay: May, 2018 - $35.00
Overall Rating:

I came in on Sunday 5/6/18 and the staff was friendly and helpful. I was escorted to my sight and asked if I needed any help! This park is refreshingly very clean. Large level sites have WIFI, Cable, 50 amp and full hook up's. I stayed 4 days and wanted to stay longer. Close to the road with some highway noise but not as bad as most parks. The park-like setting is restful and I will come back on my next trip through. I work 2 weeks each month and when you find a nice park it makes the time go faster and more pleasantly! We camped at Camelot RV Campground in a Fifth Wheel.
