Beaver's Bend Resort Park, Broken Bow, Oklahoma

Date of Stay: July, 2007 - $18.00
Overall Rating:

Very nice state park but do not like that they do not take reservations. Get there early but if booked then wait and someone might be leaving. Checkout is 5:00 pm. 12 miles of hiking trails and cold water swimming. Canoeing, paddle boats, miniature golf. A lot to do and keep busy. Sites by the river are nice. Going back very soon. We camped at Beaver's Bend Resort Park in a Tent Trailer.

White Oak Lake State Park, Bluff City, Arkansas

Date of Stay: July, 2007 - $17.00

Wonderful, remote park. We camped during the week and maybe 10 total spots taken. Peace and Quiet. Some hiking and some wildlife. Not too much shade for most of the sites. Nearest grocery store is in Camden or Prescott, about 20 miles away, so get your food before you get there. We camped at White Oak Lake State Park in a Tent Trailer.

Crater of Diamonds State Park , Murfreesboro, Arkansas

Date of Stay: July, 2007 - $17.00
Overall Rating:

Nice park with much, much appreciated shade in the summer. Campground was relaxing and bathrooms seemed to be new and always kept clean. Some hiking to do if you decide to take a day away from digging in the diamond mine or swimming at the water park (deepest 3'). On-site restaurant closes at 4pm during the summer but some good places to eat in town. Definitely would go again. We camped at Crater of Diamonds State Park in a Tent Trailer.

Fairfield Lake State Park, Fairfield, Texas

Date of Stay: May, 2007 - $18.00
Overall Rating:

Nice big campground, some sites are level and others are needing repairs. Some sites next to the lake in Cooks Ferry were nice, level sites looking out over the lake. Phone service is limited but depends on carrier. Bathrooms were below avg, not clean each time I went. Lots to do, swimming, fishing, hiking, boating and a lot of wildlife. We camped at Fairfield Lake State Park in a Tent Trailer.
