Campground at Barnes Crossing, Tupelo, Mississippi

Date of Stay: September, 2007 - $26.00
Overall Rating:

Just a wonderful park. Shaded sites. Quiet setting. Cable and WiFi. Near a mall and lots of restaurants. We too were in site 47 and it is level. Something that is hard to find in most rv parks. Office staff very friendly and helpful. Would definitely stay here again. The only reason they didn't get a 10 is because there isn't a pool. We camped at Campground at Barnes Crossing in a Fifth Wheel.

Ivy's Cove RV Retreat, Russellville, Arkansas

Date of Stay: September, 2007 - $23.00
Overall Rating:

Perfect for an overnight stop or if you have business in the area for a few days. Owners are very friendly and accommodating. Nice and clean park. Sites are plenty big enough. No shade but that isn't a problem. Good location right off the interstate. Would definitely recommend this park and would stay here again. We camped at Ivy's Cove RV Retreat in a Fifth Wheel.

Rockwell RV Park, Oklahoma City, Oklahoma

Date of Stay: September, 2007 - $25.00
Overall Rating:

Great for over night stay. WiFi works good. Cable is good. Sites are not paved and I can see that it might be a problem with tracking in dirt especially if it rains. Staff friendly. It appears to be an older park with lots of permanent people. But on this night the available over night sites were filled up quickly. Ours was a 30 amp site and on the gauge we have it is barely in the green. Also water pressure is low. We camped at Rockwell RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Oasis RV Resort, Amarillo, Texas

Date of Stay: September, 2007 - $25.00
Overall Rating:

They don't get any nicer than this. Everything you could want and more. Wish we could stay longer that's how nice it is. Nice paved pull thru. Free cable and WiFi both of which work really well. Free laundry. Everything new and clean. Restrooms are wonderful. Did I say I really like this place? And management is very nice and friendly too. It is unusual to find a place like this that has it all. Would definitely stay here again. We camped at Oasis RV Resort in a Fifth Wheel.

American RV Resort, Albuquerque, New Mexico

Date of Stay: September, 2007 - $33.00
Overall Rating:

Sites are way too short. We requested a large pull through and were reassured that it would adequately handle our 36 foot fifth wheel and our truck. Well it didn't. It was barely big enough for our fifth wheel. So we had to unhook and park it in another area. The cable, which is new, is a joke. Maybe 8 channels. Overnight if you are desperate. We camped at American RV Resort in a Fifth Wheel.

Grand Canyon Railway RV Park, Williams, Arizona

Date of Stay: September, 2007 - $50.00
Overall Rating:

This is a nice RV park. It has cable and WiFi. Spaces are sufficient in size. My only complaint is $5 a night for people over 2 and $5 a night for an extra small car. We have fifth wheel and truck. We were charged for our extra car. The wind is terrible here. Rock and roll all night. And the train comes through during the night and blasts the horn. But having said all that if you want to visit the Grand Canyon or take the train this is the best location to stay in. Office personnel are extremely pleasant and nice. You get a key for the restrooms and laundry. Restaurants in town are not much. We camped at Grand Canyon Railway RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Circus Circus RV Park (formerly Las Vegas / Circus Circus KOA), Las Vegas, Nevada

Date of Stay: September, 2007 - $68.00
Overall Rating:

This park is way way way over priced. We got a premium site so we would have a little grass and a tree. Not even an escort to the site. No discounts for meals or anything. No cable. A couple of local channels with HDTV and HDTV antenna. We did put up our satellite too. I'd go elsewhere next time. This is our first time camping in Las Vegas. Won't come here again. We camped at Circus Circus RV Park (formerly Las Vegas / Circus Circus KOA) in a Fifth Wheel.

San Francisco North / Petaluma KOA, Petaluma, California

Date of Stay: September, 2007 - $57.00
Overall Rating:

First I have to say that this is the only park we saw that was half way decent in the San Francisco area, but having said that it still isn't the best park we have ever been to. The in and out gates are awkward and somewhat hard to maneuver. There are too many nit picky rules. Extra car has to be parked out front before you come in the gate. This price only includes two adults. Extra people are $7 a day. You can't park on the grass but for the life of me I couldn't find any grass on our site. Only dirt. I don't generally like KOA's and this is no exception. Overpriced even for California. We camped at San Francisco North / Petaluma KOA in a Fifth Wheel.

Riverwalk RV Park, Fortuna, California

Date of Stay: September, 2007 - $43.00
Overall Rating:

The only reason I rated it this high is because when you compare it to what else is available in the area it doesn't seem so bad. Sites are small and require some maneuvering to get into. They tell you that they have big rig sites but that is a stretch. Sites are close together too. It appears to be an old park and has some full timers that look like they would fall apart if they had to move out. But having said all that if you want to check our Eureka, Ferndale and the redwoods it's a good location. Just don't expect too much and if you're only here a couple of days it's tolerable. We camped at Riverwalk RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Seven Feathers RV Park, Canyonville, Oregon

Date of Stay: September, 2007 - $31.00
Overall Rating:

This place is a bargain. We have paid a lot more and gotten a lot less. Paved sites. Picnic tables that you can actually use. Escort to site. Security patrols. Pool and hot tub. Adult only swim hours. Transportation to the casino. Would definitely stay here again. We camped at Seven Feathers RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Circle Creek RV Park & Campground, Seaside, Oregon

Date of Stay: August, 2007 - $38.00
Overall Rating:

This is a nice location to check out lighthouses, beaches and Columbia River Gourge. We got lucky and the weather was great. Pull throughs are long, but the grass is so thick and they cut it everyday and you track it inside because they won't allow rugs on the grass. Also everything is extra. Extra for people over 2, extra for another car even if it fits in your space, extra for your dog, etc. Also charge for showers. Laundry room is only open limited hours. If in the area we would stay here again. We camped at Circle Creek RV Park & Campground in a Fifth Wheel.

Issaquah Village RV Park, Issaquah, Washington

Date of Stay: August, 2007 - $45.00
Overall Rating:

Convenient to Seattle. Make sure you make a reservation. They have lots of monthlies and not many nightly spaces. Nice park though. We lucked up and got a shady spot. Wifi is good. Cable is good. But a bit pricey. Seems the norm for this area though. We camped at Issaquah Village RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

E & J R.V. Park (aka Days Inn Ellensburg RV Park), Ellensburg, Washington

Date of Stay: August, 2007 - $27.00
Overall Rating:

Previous review stated continental breakfast included. Not so. We were told it would be an extra $3.00 a person. So we chose not to indulge. Just a Walmart parking lot with electric and sewer. Nothing fancy. Good for over night stop. Lots of monthlies here. No wifi unless you want to go into the lobby. We camped at E & J R.V. Park (aka Days Inn Ellensburg RV Park) in a Fifth Wheel.

Blackwell Island RV Park, Coeur d'Alene, Idaho

Date of Stay: August, 2007 - $35.00
Overall Rating:

Make reservations. They have turned away several rv's tonight because they are full. Spacious sites. Friendly staff. Cable is a joke and that's why I only gave them a 9. Hook up your satellite. Wifi is good. Would definitely stay here again. This is a great location. We camped at Blackwell Island RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.
