Northgate RV Travel Park, Athens, Alabama

Date of Stay: November, 2018 - $40.00
Overall Rating:

Literally mere feet from I65. Sites close together but it was very quiet. Very basic park but friendly service, good utilities, and great location. I will be back next time I pass through. We camped at Northgate RV Travel Park in a Motorhome.

Mark Twain Cave Campground, Hannibal, Missouri

Date of Stay: August, 2018 - $35.00
Overall Rating:

Very quiet, very shady, very friendly people. Sites are fairly close together but no problem with our considerate neighbors. The cave tour was excellent and is highly recommended. The Hannibal trolley pickup was convenient and makes getting around town a breeze. My only complaint is that this place is like the Bermuda Triangle. No satellite, No cell, No (bad) wifi. I had 1 bar of 1x coverage, which makes it really hard to do any work or spend any time online. Maybe that's the point. We camped at Mark Twain Cave Campground in a Motorhome.

Double J Campground and RV Park, Chatham, Illinois

Date of Stay: June, 2018 - $55.00
Overall Rating:

This is a very organized operation, from the person greeting you get pull up, to the people at the check-in counter, to the guide taking you to the site - they were all very professional and courteous. The sites appear to be mostly or all pull-throughs, and the sites are all well laid out with easy to navigate roads. Nice pool and playground areas, free mini golf - plenty of fun stuff for the kids to do. Can't wait to come back. We camped at Double J Campground and RV Park in a Motorhome.

Amana Colonies RV Park, Amana, Iowa

Date of Stay: May, 2018 - $45.00
Overall Rating:

Campground is not picturesque, but the sites are level and it looks like most of them are pull through. This is a good sized park but very quiet. We had a full hookup site with 50 Amp service. Very good wifi coverage; the premium option is $5.95/48 hours and was very good for streaming. Close enough to walk or bike to the town of Amana if you are so inclined. It is about 1.5 miles to most of the attractions. There is a walking path/bike trail at the end of the road with the Old Creamery theater. We camped at Amana Colonies RV Park in a Motorhome.
