Driftwood RV Park, Brookings, Oregon

Date of Stay: April, 2008 - $30.00
Overall Rating:

We really enjoy this place. It is very clean and very close to the ocean. The owners are great, the sites are level and a good size, and the location is wonderful. Wi-Fi and cable work well. There's no pool, but the ocean is a short walk away. At night we could hear the creek that ran behind our site and the ocean. We camped at Driftwood RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Sites are level and long enough, but pretty narrow. Location is great - easy access from interstate. You can walk to the shopping center at exit 24. The Wi-Fi is very good and included in the rate. We camped at Holiday RV Park in a Motorhome.

Needles KOA, Needles, California

Date of Stay: March, 2008 - $27.00
Overall Rating:

Very nice people. The sites are mostly level and of a decent size. The sites are also flanked by trees and shrubs on both sides for privacy. No cable but there is good WiFi($). The road into the park (public road, not owned by the park) is very rough. We would stop here again. We camped at Needles KOA in a Fifth Wheel.

Meteor Crater RV Park, Winslow, Arizona

Date of Stay: March, 2008 - $30.00
Overall Rating:

There is nothing but the Crater anywhere near. The RV park is attached to a gas station ( with diesel and a Subway sandwich place). It is surprisingly nice campground. Our site was slightly un-level but plenty big and the hook-ups were well placed and the water pressure was good. It is very windy and dusty. The Crater is just 5 miles down the road. We camped at Meteor Crater RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Really nice park. Large level sites, great amenities. The water pressure was not great. We were very happy with Beaudry's - we enjoyed having a camping world a short walk away. We camped at Tucson / Lazydays KOA in a Fifth Wheel.

Treetops RV Resort, Arlington, Texas

Date of Stay: February, 2008 - $25.00
Overall Rating:

The sites - at least ours - are not quite level but our site is quite large. The tree cover makes it unlikely that you will get a satellite signal, however the cable is very good. The wi-fi is strong as well. The campground itself is nice, but what makes this place so nice is the location. We camped at Treetops RV Resort in a Fifth Wheel.

Shreveport / Bossier City KOA (formerly Tall Pines RV Park), Shreveport, Louisiana

Date of Stay: February, 2008 - $45.00
Overall Rating:

Very clean bathrooms and the sites were larger than a typical KOA. The "hot tub" sites were great and Wi-Fi was very good. We camped at Shreveport / Bossier City KOA (formerly Tall Pines RV Park) in a Motorhome.

Lakeside RV Park, Livingston, Louisiana

Date of Stay: February, 2008 - $30.00
Overall Rating:

We really like this park. Nice large sites - concrete. Wide roads and very clean. The only complaint is that while the rules for dog owners - including the leash rule - are in bold print, the managers allow their own dogs to run free, unsupervised. It seems that the manager would want to set an example. We camped at Lakeside RV Park in a Motorhome.

Charlotte / Fort Mill KOA, Fort Mill, South Carolina

Date of Stay: November, 2007 - $40.00
Overall Rating:

The office is in the Exxon station. The wi-fi is free and very mediocre. Some of the sites are very good, long, grass yard, concrete patio and some are not very good, back to back and very close together. We were in the back close to the Haunted House and the site was very good and level. We camped at Charlotte / Fort Mill KOA in a Fifth Wheel.

Very close to Gettysburg National Military Park. Sites are level but many are side-by-side hook-ups and close together. It is clean. The wi-fi is very good and the people are very nice. Worth a stop when in the area. We camped at Gettysburg Campground in a Fifth Wheel.

Beaver Hill Campground (Closed), Sussex, New Jersey

Date of Stay: November, 2007 - $35.00
Overall Rating:

Nice location - rural. Bathrooms weren't very clean. The sites were not very level. There were many campers with a lot of junk all over their site. The entrance looks like it will be wonderful, but the sites and the junk take away from that perception. We camped at Beaver Hill Campground (Closed) in a Fifth Wheel.

Narrows Too Camping Resort - Thousand Trails, Trenton, Maine

Overall Rating:

The Narrows Too has been COMPLETELY RENOVATED. All of the sites and buidings and pool are brand new. The sites are level and have cable and full hook/ups. The Wi-fi signal is very good in our site. We went to the pool today and it was warm and very clean. Many sites have a view of the water. We are very happy with this campground. We camped at Narrows Too Camping Resort - Thousand Trails in a Fifth Wheel.

Freeport Village Campground, Freeport, Maine

Date of Stay: June, 2007 - $35.00
Overall Rating:

The location is very good. Close to shopping in Freeport. The campground is sandy and isn't well manicured. It still looks under construction. They do have cable. Our site wasn't very level and was very sandy. There are probably better options in Freeport. We camped at Freeport Village Campground in a Fifth Wheel.
