McArthur's Temple View RV Resort, St George, Utah

Date of Stay: May, 2018 - $38.00
Overall Rating:

We have stayed here several times as it is the only one in the area located where we want to be. The park is old with narrow streets and sites, but they make it work. Wifi is useless. Staff is helpful and friendly. Utilities are good. Location is great. Almost all sites are back in. We camped at McArthur's Temple View RV Resort in a Motorhome.

Sun Resorts RV Park, Mesquite, Nevada

Date of Stay: May, 2018 - $30.00
Overall Rating:

Great park! We checked into Casa Blanca Park, rode around town and found this one, then checked out of Casa Blanca and came here. Very clean, nice size sites, quiet. No extra activities we do not use. Built about 5 years ago. We will stay again. We camped at Sun Resorts RV Park in a Motorhome.

Cielo Vista RV Park, Truth Or Consequences, New Mexico

Date of Stay: March, 2018 - $23.00
Overall Rating:

There are 3 levels to this park. First two are mainly long term. Upper level where we were had long pull thrus and all faced looking down over the town. We were there for a week so had a weekly rate ($160 + elec). No amenities, but that is what we enjoy. We camped at Cielo Vista RV Park in a Motorhome.

Rio Grande Village RV Campground--Full Hookups , Big Bend National Park, Texas

Date of Stay: March, 2018 - $36.00
Overall Rating:

Back in sites face each other across a not-very-wide lot. Big rigs stick out into the roadway. We had no problem, but it could be bad if there were too many big rigs. Utilities were fine. Wifi was sporadic and weak at the site. OK at office. Open for satellite. Expensive gas and diesel available at office. No cell service. Backcountry Roads - Old Ore Road and River Road are the best. Spend $4 for the book that describes them so you know what you are looking at. We camped at Rio Grande Village RV Campground--Full Hookups in a Motorhome.

Desert Willow RV Park, Van Horn, Texas

Date of Stay: March, 2018 - $14.00
Overall Rating:

Far from fancy, but all utilities were fine. Sites are open for satellite. Did not try the wifi. We were happy with the park and will stay again. Passport price was $13.50 cash or $14.00 with credit card. We camped at Desert Willow RV Park in a Motorhome.

Sagebrush Mobile Home and RV Park, Willcox, Arizona

Date of Stay: March, 2018 - $28.00
Overall Rating:

We were very happy with the park. Open sites with gravel, not dirt, and all utilities were good. Plenty of room with easy access. No length limitation. Others have reported good wifi but we were not so lucky. We will stay again. We camped at Sagebrush Mobile Home and RV Park in a Motorhome.

Arizona Charlie's Las Vegas RV Park, Las Vegas, Nevada

Date of Stay: November, 2017 - $30.00
Overall Rating:

We had one of the 50' pull throughs and it was awful. The neighbor's awning came within a foot of our motorhome. We could not have left the space if he had not retracted it. Our neighbor on the other side had to rotate his mirror out of the way so we could leave in the morning. He said he had to do it for the last person as well. These sites are 90 degrees to very narrow streets. There are better sites in the park that would not have these issues. Park wifi was no good but Verizon was OK. We camped at Arizona Charlie's Las Vegas RV Park in a Motorhome.

Stovepipe Wells Village RV Park (Concessionaire Operated), Death Valley National Park, California

Date of Stay: November, 2017 - $19.00
Overall Rating:

Not fancy but certainly met our needs in Death Valley. Voltage was close to 120 during the day but rose to 126 - 127 at night. Caused our converter/inverter to do funny things so we turned off the breaker at night. We had no problem checking in early. We asked what site we were going to, walked over to see if it was open and the clerk checked us in. We talked with several clerks during our stay and found them all to be very helpful.

Park wifi at the site worked very slowly on infrequent occasions. Did not try going to the office for a stronger wifi signal. We had a very weak Verizon 3G data signal much of the time (not always). They accepted our Senior Pass and charged $18.50/night. We camped at Stovepipe Wells Village RV Park (Concessionaire Operated) in a Motorhome.

Blanding RV park (formerly Kampark), Blanding, Utah

Date of Stay: October, 2017 - $28.00
Overall Rating:

This campground changed from KamPark to Blanding RV Park about a year ago. We have stayed here several times over the years. There are 5 pull throughs and 5 back ins directly behind the store (store is the office) that are HUGE. Very long and wide with 50 amp. Be aware that they slope front to back and can be a problem for a long motorhome. We have never stayed in the upper part, but THINK they are all 30 amp. Walk out and choose your site before paying. They are not all equal. No frills park. Wifi was terrible the one time we tried it. Verizon was good. Store has a restaurant. Fuel is cheaper about a quarter mile south at a station with no sign, but open to the public. One of these numbers is the park but frequently goes unanswered. The other is the manager. She usually answers. 435-678-2991 (Admin note: 7-11 store), 435-678-2770. Do not remember which is which. We will stay here again. We camped at Blanding RV park (formerly Kampark) in a Motorhome.

Black Bart's RV Park, Flagstaff, Arizona

Date of Stay: June, 2017 - $36.00
Overall Rating:

We've stayed here several times because it is convenient, but owners really should be paying more attention to condition of sites and roads. Sites aren't level, roads are full of potholes/bumps, "lawn" between sites is dead, and pads are cracked and/or broken. No attention to making the sites appealing at all. Lots of pine trees, so if you have satellite be careful what site you get. Lots of permanents with stuff all around make the back portion less than exciting. Office personnel are friendly and accommodating when possible. We camped at Black Bart's RV Park in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

Sam's Club, grocery stores and department stores within an easy drive. Lots of restaurants to chose from. There is a restaurant on the grounds that uses college students for waitstaff and entertainment, but have not tried it for ourselves.

Promised Land State Park, Greentown, Pennsylvania

Date of Stay: June, 2016 - $29.00
Overall Rating:

Park office is 6 miles south of I-84. The road down is narrow but we had no problem with our 40' motorhome. Park roads are narrower, but doable if you take it easy.

Most people will probably go for full hookups at Pickerel Point, but we chose a 100' pull thru with 50 amp electric only in the Beechwood area. Most of the Beechwood area is short, paved, back-in sites with electric only. There are 2 long pull thrus at both the north and south ends. We had P2 at the north end. Both P1 and P2 were open enough for satellite but required blocking to level our motorhome front to back.

We enjoyed the remoteness and the quiet. Verizon had a weak but adequate data signal.

You can go to the Park website to find how sites are designed, and can also make online reservations. $4 extra charge and $4.50 senior discount. We camped at Promised Land State Park in a Motorhome.

Rocky Top Campground, Blountville, Tennessee

Date of Stay: May, 2016 - $37.00
Overall Rating:

Call for reservations if you have a big rig! There are only a few large sites.

We could not use satellite because of trees. The owner told us they could not guarantee it when we made reservations. WiFi and Verizon were good.

Well kept campground with great owners. We camped at Rocky Top Campground in a Motorhome.

Holiday Trav-L-Park, Del Rio, Texas

Date of Stay: May, 2016 - $15.00
Overall Rating:

Long, wide pull-thru sites. A few had trees, but would not bother satellite. No Verizon 4G and park wifi was useless. Utilities were fine. We would have been happy if we could have had internet. We camped at Holiday Trav-L-Park in a Motorhome.
