Black Bart's RV Park, Flagstaff, Arizona

Date of Stay: June, 2017 - $36.00
Overall Rating:

We've stayed here several times because it is convenient, but owners really should be paying more attention to condition of sites and roads. Sites aren't level, roads are full of potholes/bumps, "lawn" between sites is dead, and pads are cracked and/or broken. No attention to making the sites appealing at all. Lots of pine trees, so if you have satellite be careful what site you get. Lots of permanents with stuff all around make the back portion less than exciting. Office personnel are friendly and accommodating when possible. We camped at Black Bart's RV Park in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

Sam's Club, grocery stores and department stores within an easy drive. Lots of restaurants to chose from. There is a restaurant on the grounds that uses college students for waitstaff and entertainment, but have not tried it for ourselves.

Promised Land State Park, Greentown, Pennsylvania

Date of Stay: June, 2016 - $29.00
Overall Rating:

Park office is 6 miles south of I-84. The road down is narrow but we had no problem with our 40' motorhome. Park roads are narrower, but doable if you take it easy.

Most people will probably go for full hookups at Pickerel Point, but we chose a 100' pull thru with 50 amp electric only in the Beechwood area. Most of the Beechwood area is short, paved, back-in sites with electric only. There are 2 long pull thrus at both the north and south ends. We had P2 at the north end. Both P1 and P2 were open enough for satellite but required blocking to level our motorhome front to back.

We enjoyed the remoteness and the quiet. Verizon had a weak but adequate data signal.

You can go to the Park website to find how sites are designed, and can also make online reservations. $4 extra charge and $4.50 senior discount. We camped at Promised Land State Park in a Motorhome.

Rocky Top Campground, Blountville, Tennessee

Date of Stay: May, 2016 - $37.00
Overall Rating:

Call for reservations if you have a big rig! There are only a few large sites.

We could not use satellite because of trees. The owner told us they could not guarantee it when we made reservations. WiFi and Verizon were good.

Well kept campground with great owners. We camped at Rocky Top Campground in a Motorhome.

Holiday Trav-L-Park, Del Rio, Texas

Date of Stay: May, 2016 - $15.00
Overall Rating:

Long, wide pull-thru sites. A few had trees, but would not bother satellite. No Verizon 4G and park wifi was useless. Utilities were fine. We would have been happy if we could have had internet. We camped at Holiday Trav-L-Park in a Motorhome.

They keep a few 80' long pull-thrus for overnighters. Good for satellite. Verizon worked fine. Utilities were good. Dusty roads. We camped at Mountain View RV Park in a Motorhome.

They have a few 70' pull-thrus, and that is what we had. Plenty long, easy in and out. Would have been happy but my Progressive Industries EMS shut down the electricity at 104 volts. We got a refund and left. We camped at Southern Star RV Park in a Motorhome.

Delta Ridge RV Park, Inc., Forrest City, Arkansas

Date of Stay: January, 2014 - $25.00
Overall Rating:

Great little park and very friendly owner. Has many contractors in the winter, but keeps a few long pull throughs open for overnighters. Owner had to leave for dinner before we got there, but came to the restaurant to greet us after that. Call to be sure there is room. We camped at Delta Ridge RV Park, Inc. in a Motorhome.

Motel 6 & Brinkley RV Park, Brinkley, Arkansas

Date of Stay: January, 2014 - $22.00
Overall Rating:

In very poor condition. I tried two pedestals and my power management system rejected both because the ground and neutral were reversed. Got my money back and went to Forrest City. We camped at Motel 6 & Brinkley RV Park in a Motorhome.

Benton Oaks RV & Campground, Corvallis, Oregon

Date of Stay: August, 2013 - $32.00
Overall Rating:

Nothing special but certainly OK. Pull throughs, and back ins on west wall, are good for satellite. Verizon data is strong. Park host said WiFi was terrible so we did not try it. Easy in and out. Approach from the south, not from the east through town. Low tree branches coming from the east. Can reserve online. Several biking-walking paths. We camped at Benton Oaks RV & Campground in a Motorhome.

Angel of the Winds Casino, Arlington, Washington

Date of Stay: August, 2013 - $15.00
Overall Rating:

This casino has 20 back-in spaces in a separate paved section of the parking lot that will take rigs of any length. 30 amp electric hookup only. The sites slope slightly to the front, so 40' motorhomes may find front tires in the air. Dump station and fresh water (your hose) available. You can make reservations. Verizon data is good and the casino Wi-Fi is strong. Free dry camping in the regular parking lot. Gas and diesel are much cheaper than in the community. About a mile east of I-5 exit 210. We camped at Angel of the Winds Casino in a Motorhome.

Wild Rose RV Park, Colbert, Washington

Date of Stay: August, 2013 - $27.00
Overall Rating:

Very nice park. Call for reservations as they appear to rent most sites to folks staying for the summer. Don't let that worry you - everything is neat, clean and quiet. Park Wi-Fi works, as does Verizon data. Easy access and parking for big rigs. Open for satellite. We would stay again. We camped at Wild Rose RV Park in a Motorhome.
