West Bay Camping Resort, Rhinelander, Wisconsin

Date of Stay: August, 2018 - $1.00
Overall Rating:

Heavily wooded sites. Lots of room between sites. Good roads in the campground, but they are a bit narrow, so be careful with large rigs. 50 Amp, water and sewer. No Cable. WiFi was OK, a booster would be nice. Fire pit, 5 dollars per bundle. Wood wasn't all that dry so try and pick out dry wood-self serve after paying. Friendly staff. Good Over the Air TV. The manager is very friendly. Will stay here again. We camped at West Bay Camping Resort in a Motorhome.

Camping Auclair, Saint Jean Baptiste, Quebec

Date of Stay: August, 2018 - $36.00
Overall Rating:

25 miles from Montreal. DO NOT TAKE Highway 15 into Montreal--major construction and you will be tied up for at least an hour. Nice quiet campground right in the middle of an apple orchard on one side and a cornfield on the other. Large spacious sites. Good friendly owners. Will stay here again when in the area. 30 amp only, water and sewer but full hook up sites are limited--make a reservation. Apple harvest starts around Labor Day and the place will be full. We camped at Camping Auclair in a Motorhome.

Lead in road from office to campground has marked "speed bumps" so 8KPH is a great plenty. Passport America for 3 nights, one night at full rate.

Camping Transit, Levis, Quebec

Date of Stay: August, 2018 - $40.00
Overall Rating:

Nice park. Easy access from Highway 20. Spacious sites. Good roads. Good pool. Restaurant on site--didn't use. Quiet. 30 amp. Water. Dump stations. Grass sites with a few asphalt. Park manager will change American Dollars to Canadian Dollars at the daily exchange rate which changes daily, with no fee charged. Free shuttle to the ferry to Quebec City. Ferry was $6.00 Canadian per person each way. Will stay here again. We camped at Camping Transit in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

Quebec City--Old Town. Ferry ride. Hop on/Hop off buses. 4 different tour buses. Many, many, many shops. DO NOT DRIVE YOUR TOAD TO OLD TOWN--YOU WILL REGRET IT GREATLY!! City roads are narrow, crowed with busses and people, no accurate road maps--there is no grid system for Old Town. Wear good walking shoes--many steep hills.

Coldbrook Resort & Campground, Barre, Massachusetts

Date of Stay: July, 2018 - $51.00
Overall Rating:

Nice quiet campground. A bit out of the way. Roads are "ok" but go slow. If following a GPS, more than likely you will be directed right through the middle of Worcester, MA. Find a different way as it took us 45-50 minutes to travel through town. Good pool. Pay for cable and WiFi. Both were good. Spaces sites, not too close to others. 50 and 30 amp available along with water and sewer. Most sites are shaded but a few have no shade. Limited supplies at the office. Visit the Worcester Art Museum--worth the time. By the way, town is pronounced "Worster". Why--have no idea. We camped at Coldbrook Resort & Campground in a Motorhome.

Gateway to Cape Cod Campground, Rochester, Massachusetts

Date of Stay: July, 2018 - $1.00
Overall Rating:

Good park. Will stay again when in the area. Sites are pretty level. Roads are bumpy and some have potholes. Have to purchase WiFi--30 bucks for 2 weeks and worth it. Good strong signal, no issues. OTA TV is so-so--some sites get 25 plus stations, some get 5 or 6. Satellite is hit and miss as most sites are heavily wooded. Sites are fairly well separated. If going to be gone overnight, let the camp management know or be charged 35 dollars per night you are not at your site. Good water pressure--didn't need pressure reducer (yes I checked pressure before hooking up). Good stable electricity service--used 50 amp. Dogs permitted must be leashed when outside unless in a "cage." No washing of rig or toad--windshields ok to wash. A couple of sites are in low spots--get pretty muddy when it rains--check site before moving in. All in all--good park. We camped at Gateway to Cape Cod Campground in a Motorhome.

Great little campground. Cash or checks only. Could barely hear trains. Will stay here again!! We camped at Arrowhead Marina & RV Park in a Motorhome.

Timothy Lake Campground South - Thousand Trails, East Stroudsburg, Pennsylvania

Date of Stay: June, 2018 - $1.00
Overall Rating:

Roads into the campground are VERY STEEP. 34 foot motor home pulling a CRV. Employees very helpful. Most sites are pull throughs. Fairly level sites. No OTA TV. Pay for internet and cable. Internet very unreliable--had to sign in every time turned the computer/laptop and I-Pad on. Cable TV very snowy picture. Thousand Trails member. We camped at Timothy Lake Campground South - Thousand Trails in a Motorhome.
