South Forty RV Ranch (55+ Park), Tucson, Arizona

Date of Stay: October, 2018 - $35.00
Overall Rating:

Stayed for 1 night pretty tight for our 34 ft coach, we had to disconnect the car at the office then pull to our site disconnect the tow dolly and push into the site. You have to be escorted in and out in the morning which we were not told so the person doing the escorting in the morning got irritated with us when we trying to find our way out. This is just OK for an over night stay it was close to Freedom RV repair which is where we were going for service. We camped at South Forty RV Ranch (55+ Park) in a Motorhome.

Grand Canyon Railway RV Park, Williams, Arizona

Date of Stay: October, 2018 - $25.00
Overall Rating:

Wow we really enjoyed our stay, this was the cleanest park we have stayed in, every person we encountered working at the Park, Hotel, Stores and Train Depot were absolutely friendly and helpful. Lots of things to do, there is a Brewery next door with excellent food, a short walk from the park to old RT 66 in downtown Williams and of coarse the Train to the Grand Canyon, we felt it was to pricey so we choose to drive. You have full use of the hotel facilities which include an indoor heated pool, hot tub and exercise room. There is a nice laundry room centrally located in the RV park as well as cable TV and WIFI all excellent. The prices in restaurants down town are expensive so we ate at the old DQ, the food was good and ice cream better at half the cost. We will be staying again. We camped at Grand Canyon Railway RV Park in a Motorhome.

Ken's Lake - BLM, Moab, Utah

Date of Stay: October, 2018 - $10.00
Overall Rating:

We got the last site available on a Friday afternoon, this is a beautiful camp ground with amazing views, we dry camped for 5 days. I would suggest arriving in the middle of the week to get a better choice of sites. Its a short drive (11 miles) to Arches National Park which we found to be very crowded. So many other things to do in the area hiking, biking, 4 wheeling, we hiked all around the camp ground which has a nice waterfall when there is water and many other trails. The Lake was almost dry when we were there, but several storms were helping put some water back. The rules for generator use 8am to 8pm and keeping vehicles on maintained roads in the camp ground are strictly enforced. There is no OTA TV but we streamed HULU without a problem, we will stay again. We camped at Ken's Lake - BLM in a Motorhome.

Oquirrh Inn Motel & RV Park, Lake Point, Utah

Date of Stay: October, 2018 - $20.00
Overall Rating:

The park is good for 1 or 2 days, not the cleanest place we have stayed in. OTA TV was good and Cell service good. We needed to have a chip in the Motorhome glass repaired as well as a broken windshield on the car, the hotel had no problem with us having it done at our site. We had the last site on the far end. If you end up in a middle site or on the end closest the hotel you may have a problem getting in the site straight. I would suggest asking for site 7 thru 10. We would stay again if passing thru. We camped at Oquirrh Inn Motel & RV Park in a Motorhome.

South Tourist Park Campground, Idaho Falls, Idaho

Date of Stay: October, 2018 - $15.00
Overall Rating:

Good for overnight stay the sites are huge, we had some concerns about various people parking their cars in nearby sites and just sitting in them not sure what was going on. We had no trouble and would stay again if passing thru the area. We camped at South Tourist Park Campground in a Motorhome.

Yellowstone Golf Resort, Ashton, Idaho

Date of Stay: October, 2018 - $20.00
Overall Rating:

Cute Park in the middle of Hay Fields with an Executive golf coarse, very dry and dusty but nice just the same. 2 channels of OTA TV and WIFI only at the office. Our only complaint was being charged $50 for Friday and Saturday I believe their daily rate is $40 we had Passport America Sunday thru Thursday at $20, Friday and Saturday at $50 and $40 for the next Sunday then $20 for Monday because they were shutting off the water for the season. The Laundry room was very nice and the Bathroom was clean, the Park was very quiet mainly because there there few campers at seasons end. We would stay again but only at Passport rates $40 is a bit steep for this park. We camped at Yellowstone Golf Resort in a Motorhome.

Several rivers to fish and State parks to visit in the area.

Overall Rating:

Not a destination, good for an overnight stay on the way to somewhere else, very tight access, sites are barely level and all dirt, good over OVA television, WIFI only at the Bar. Bathrooms are dated but clean, laundry was just ok, we stayed a week but would not stay again. We camped at River Edge Resort in a Motorhome.

The town itself is a nice place to take a walk but expect to pay premium prices for everything we would recommend coming with everything you need for your stay. The town is a Fly fishing Meca with the Madison River being the star attraction there are 3 Fly Shops happy to guide you on a Fly Fishing Adventure, there is plenty of opportunity to wade fish if you prefer. We didn't find the town to be a friendly place.

Yogi Bear's Jellystone Park Camp-Resort, Missoula, Montana

Date of Stay: August, 2018 - $50.00
Overall Rating:

This is a decent campground easy access off the highway no noise and good service. Our site was was fairly level and easy to get into, like other reviewers the cable was too far away to hook up but the OTA was great we had 20 channels. The park is clean and dog friendly, the facilities were clean and the staff was nice. If you're looking for the camping experience this is not your campground but it is a nice stop over heading for somewhere else. As mentioned by other reviewers the interior roads could use some maintenance, all in all not a bad place to stay, we stayed a week and would stay again when in the area. Camp Three Forks , Three Forks, Montana

Date of Stay: August, 2018 - $45.00
Overall Rating:

This is a very nice park that was a former KOA, the owner is making and planning many updates, when we stayed they had just redone the store. There are limited full hook up sites if you can only get water and electric take it; the sites are huge and the trees are beautiful the dump station is easy to access. The staff care about both the owner, who is a very nice guy and the campground. They work very hard to ensure the guests are comfortable. Try the ice cream it's awesome ! Access from the highway is easy and there are lots of things to do and see in the area. We will stay again when in the 3 forks area. We camped at Camp Three Forks in a Motorhome.

Boysen State Park, Shoshoni, Wyoming

Date of Stay: August, 2018 - $17.00
Overall Rating:

We stayed in the lower campground, during the day the road noise is loud at night off and on but the trade off is your on the Wind River. The Boysen State Park campgrounds both Lake and River are clean and well kept there is a swimming beach at the reservoir. Reservations are thru Reserve America but sites are available on a first come first serve basis including several large RV sites, water to fill your tanks prior to parking is available. There was no cell phone service at the lower campground so make your reservations for either of the 2 river campgrounds before pulling in unless your looking for the non reservable sites. The Park Ranger at the Ranger station was awesome she helped us reserve a site as the one we chose was a reservable only site, she was able to block it out for us and allowed us to pay for it using the drop box at the campground. Thermopolis is close by for anything you may need. We camped at Boysen State Park in a Motorhome.

Platte River RV & Campground, Glenrock, Wyoming

Date of Stay: August, 2018 - $36.00
Overall Rating:

They are a Passport America Park, we called for a site and were told they only had 1 site left it was a premium site and there was no discount. We were told we would have a private yard which ended up facing the ATV dealer on the property and next to the owners house with another so called premium site very close next to us. We stayed for 4 days and there were always at least 4 sites open in the main section were we could have used Passport. Its not a bad park there is river access and the park mostly sand, gravel, and grass is well kept. The owners were very nice to us, we are not sure if the office help has incentives to sell the "premium" sites we just didnt appreciate being steered to a more expensive site when half price sites were available considering the premium sites are not any better than the main park. The WIFI was weak, I couldnt connect my wife was able too, there is antenna TV. We would stay again only at Passport rates. We camped at Platte River RV & Campground in a Motorhome.
