Yogi Bear's Jellystone Park Camp-Resort, Missoula, Montana

Date of Stay: August, 2018 - $50.00
Overall Rating:

This is a decent campground easy access off the highway no noise and good service. Our site was was fairly level and easy to get into, like other reviewers the cable was too far away to hook up but the OTA was great we had 20 channels. The park is clean and dog friendly, the facilities were clean and the staff was nice. If you're looking for the camping experience this is not your campground but it is a nice stop over heading for somewhere else. As mentioned by other reviewers the interior roads could use some maintenance, all in all not a bad place to stay, we stayed a week and would stay again when in the area. We camped at Yogi Bear's Jellystone Park Camp-Resort in a Motorhome.

Camp Three Forks , Three Forks, Montana

Date of Stay: August, 2018 - $45.00
Overall Rating:

This is a very nice park that was a former KOA, the owner is making and planning many updates, when we stayed they had just redone the store. There are limited full hook up sites if you can only get water and electric take it; the sites are huge and the trees are beautiful the dump station is easy to access. The staff care about both the owner, who is a very nice guy and the campground. They work very hard to ensure the guests are comfortable. Try the ice cream it's awesome ! Access from the highway is easy and there are lots of things to do and see in the area. We will stay again when in the 3 forks area. We camped at Camp Three Forks in a Motorhome.

Boysen State Park, Shoshoni, Wyoming

Date of Stay: August, 2018 - $17.00
Overall Rating:

We stayed in the lower campground, during the day the road noise is loud at night off and on but the trade off is your on the Wind River. The Boysen State Park campgrounds both Lake and River are clean and well kept there is a swimming beach at the reservoir. Reservations are thru Reserve America but sites are available on a first come first serve basis including several large RV sites, water to fill your tanks prior to parking is available. There was no cell phone service at the lower campground so make your reservations for either of the 2 river campgrounds before pulling in unless your looking for the non reservable sites. The Park Ranger at the Ranger station was awesome she helped us reserve a site as the one we chose was a reservable only site, she was able to block it out for us and allowed us to pay for it using the drop box at the campground. Thermopolis is close by for anything you may need. We camped at Boysen State Park in a Motorhome.

Platte River RV & Campground, Glenrock, Wyoming

Date of Stay: August, 2018 - $36.00
Overall Rating:

They are a Passport America Park, we called for a site and were told they only had 1 site left it was a premium site and there was no discount. We were told we would have a private yard which ended up facing the ATV dealer on the property and next to the owners house with another so called premium site very close next to us. We stayed for 4 days and there were always at least 4 sites open in the main section were we could have used Passport. Its not a bad park there is river access and the park mostly sand, gravel, and grass is well kept. The owners were very nice to us, we are not sure if the office help has incentives to sell the "premium" sites we just didnt appreciate being steered to a more expensive site when half price sites were available considering the premium sites are not any better than the main park. The WIFI was weak, I couldnt connect my wife was able too, there is antenna TV. We would stay again only at Passport rates. We camped at Platte River RV & Campground in a Motorhome.

The owners seem to allow washing your vehicle be sure to ask. I wouldnt recommend doing so the water leaves white spots that are very hard to get off paint I had to use a mild scratch remover to get them off the clear coat.

Overall Rating:

This is an awesome small park with beautiful mature trees and very nice grass sites, walk in your bare feet grass, all sites are pull thru, the owner and staff are very nice. The park is next to a small restaurant and store, sites are level and yes there are trains close by but we enjoyed watching them, once asleep we didnt hear anything. We feel this is a hidden gem and will definitely stay again when heading for Wyoming or South Dakota . We camped at Oregon Trail Trading Post Campground in a Motorhome.

Overall Rating:

This is our home park its a little old but has the homey feel, everyone is so pleasant as are nearly all Escapees members, there were many activities going on, the pool is small but nice and clean and open till 9pm we were thankful it was HOT everyday. Our site was nice and shady and we were able to wash and wax the motorhome, our neighbors were wonderful. Water is good no problems with electric, nice club house, a great Ice Cream social at the club house and Pancake breakfast at the care center. Hitchin Post Corral and Campground, Cottondale, Florida

Date of Stay: July, 2018 - $25.00
Overall Rating:

This is a great little park close to the highway with easy access; there is road noise but it didn't bother us. The owners greet you at your rig when you arrive, you pay from your coach steps and they lead you to your site and put down a rug at your door. It was so nice to be treated like a guest and not a "mark" they were full timers before starting this park from scratch so they know how to treat their guests. They have 2 dog areas one for small dogs one for big dogs with toys for them to play with. There is a small golf area where you can hit balls into a net or chip to a basket, there is a walking trail and pond we didn't indulge due to the heat. I would highly recommend staying with these nice people, they are improving this park daily we will being staying with them again. We camped at Hitchin Post Corral and Campground in a Motorhome.

A Big Wheel RV Park, Saint Marys, Georgia

Date of Stay: July, 2018 - $39.00
Overall Rating:

Had site number 1 - very nice concrete pad across from the rest rooms, showers and awesome laundry. The park is clean and well kept with a beautiful canopy of trees and Spanish moss over the sites. The owner was very nice as well as her staff. They know the area well and were helpful with information and the history of St Marys. We stayed for 6 days and were really able to relax. We will stay with them again and highly recommend anyone in the area to stop for a few days and take in St Marys. It's a very historic town. We camped at A Big Wheel RV Park in a Motorhome.

Please visit the Submarine Museum in down town St Marys. They are working very hard for our veterans and keeping the memories of our silent service members alive. The live oaks are amazing and the war of 1812 museum is a must see. Of coarse Cumberland Island should be on your list of things to do.

Palmetto Shores RV Resort (formerly Big Water Lake Club Campground), Summerton, South Carolina

Date of Stay: July, 2018 - $45.00
Overall Rating:

We had a reservation at another campground which was the worst experience we ever had so we left after a night. I called Palmetto Shores and they were full but had a site open up across the street behind the gas station. The site was large, we were able to park 2 cars and a pontoon boat. We had full access to the resort but had to drive across the road to enter the main gate. There were no bathrooms, showers etc at our location. We also had a fishing boat which we left in over flow parking on the resort. The boat ramp was great, the resort itself had 2 nice pools, a lazy river, a nice sandy beach on Lake Marion, a small store, ice cream and pizza, mini golf and a restaurant. All in all it saved our vacation. We were able to launch the pontoon boat any time we wanted, swim, fish, etc. I would definitely recommend this park. The staff was extremely helpful considering our situation. We had a full hook up 50 amp site. The WIFI was excellent. My only complaint was it was a sandy site with lots of ants. There was some noise from RT 95 but not noticeable at night. We camped at Palmetto Shores RV Resort (formerly Big Water Lake Club Campground) in a Motorhome.

Paradise Lake Family Campground, Spout Spring, Virginia

Date of Stay: June, 2018 - $48.00
Overall Rating:

Not a bad place, we enjoyed swimming in the Pond and the Pool. The Staff was pleasant and accommodating. The Restrooms were OK but you had to hold the handles down until completely flushed, not many people did. The Showers looked dirty so we passed and showered in the coach. Tough entry road due to crossing the Railroad Tracks we dragged our Tow Dolly at the Hitch as well as our Exhaust Pipe. Our site was sloped forward and when I leveled the coach the front wheels were of the ground, I had to back up further in the site to keep the wheels on the ground. The site I was on had 2 posts covered with a PVC pipe and a cap next to the concrete pad, they're there to keep you on the pad, unfortunately they force you to move your coach back and forth to clear your cargo doors and steps. When I pulled out with my car in tow and I made the swing out of the site and drug the rear half of my coach on the PVC covered post, most of the melted PVC came off the paint but I damaged my rear cargo door. This wasn't the Camp Grounds fault but if you stay on one of these sites be careful pulling out. We camped at Paradise Lake Family Campground in a Motorhome.

Pinewood Lodge Campground, Plymouth, Massachusetts

Date of Stay: June, 2018 - $55.00
Overall Rating:

The park was over priced for the services, its a large park in the woods dirt sites and lots of seasonal campers. The pond is nice and the beach is kept clean. The fire wood was expensive, you could bring your own but it couldn't touch the ground it had to come from your vehicle and into to the fire pit. If you had a visitor no matter what using the facilities or not it was $10. The only full hook up sites were on the entrance road, we got to see all the comings and goings for a week and witnessed the total disregard for the speed limit. I lived in Plymouth for 25 years and didn't know this place existed we came back to visit and found it. The staff was friendly and helpful but it was all about the cash. We camped at Pinewood Lodge Campground in a Motorhome.

Lady at the front desk was very nice she helped us find a good place to eat. They have an awesome store very well stocked, if you need something for your RV they probably have it. Cable TV was horrible, they did come out to test it said it was our coach but everyone we spoke to said it was bad. The campground itself was clean and the road noise from 95 was not noticeable. Not a bad place but not something we would do long term. We stayed 3 nights. We camped at Candy Hill Campground in a Motorhome.
