Frontier Town RV Resort & Campground, Berlin, Maryland

Date of Stay: August, 2018 - $141.00
Overall Rating:

Super disappointed with this campground. Sites are packed together so tight like sardines in a can. Site was really small, we were next to a cabin and our slide was right up to it, and the back of our trailer was almost against a shed. Definitely not the kind of campground where you want to sit outside at your site. It is definitely a huge campground but it isn't enjoyable: too many people. Pool is not big enough in relation to the campground size, and while there is the waterpark, it isn't exclusively for Frontier Town guests so prepare to stand in line.

The 6 point intersection in the middle of the campground is crazy at times. Only good thing I can really say is that the fresh produce stand in the campground was nice, and the gameroom was huge but far from the main campground. We camped at Frontier Town RV Resort & Campground in a Travel Trailer.

Williamsburg / Busch Gardens Area KOA, Williamsburg, Virginia

Date of Stay: August, 2018 - $83.00
Overall Rating:

Had a little snafu with being assigned a site in the wrong area of the campground. I was a little frustrated at first because I had called ahead to discuss where the sites were that where associated with the different types of sites online. After speaking to a woman at the campground she assured me that when I booked if I gave them a list of preferred sites that they would do their best to accommodate them, and she assured me she would make sure the site was roomy enough to accommodate our superslide. We submitted about 10-15 sites in the E section, but when we arrived they assigned us a site in the D section. I expressed right away that it was in the incorrect area, but they told me that was roomier for our slide. We were escorted to the site only to find they were really close together. We told the escort that we were unhappy with the site. He headed back to the office and got the site reassigned to one of the original requested sites we requested. Once settled we were really pleased with EVERYTHING else about the campground. Bathhouses are clean and beautiful, pool was lovely and clean - bounce was fun, and the zipline playground was a blast. Staff was friendly & helpful. We were fortunate to be there when the campground was mostly empty and most of the time we had the pool to ourselves which was great! Wish this campground was closer to my home - we would definitely stay again! We camped at Williamsburg / Busch Gardens Area KOA in a Travel Trailer.

Watkins Glen / Corning KOA, Watkins Glen, New York

Date of Stay: August, 2018 - $99.00
Overall Rating:

Campground is ok, but there are a few problems. The indoor pool was absolutely filthy - the floor & walls of the pool & spa needed brushing and vacuuming. There was some sort of brown debris on the bottom of the pool that I can only guess was diaper leakage. Water was cloudy in both pool and spa. Outdoor pool was nice but lacked a hot tub. The bad thing about the outdoor pool was that the lifeguard would kick everyone (including adults) out of the pool each hour so she could take a break. Another staff member would take over but wouldn't allow anyone in the pool - wouldn't it make more sense to certify the 2nd person? We stayed here for the extra resort activities, however the ones we wanted to use weren't open - the rock wall & zipline. Personally for the price I think the activities should be included in your stay rather than an additional fee. Restrooms were new and nice, showers could use a little deep cleaning. Sites are ok, but could use some shade. We camped at Watkins Glen / Corning KOA in a Travel Trailer.

Allentown KOA, New Tripoli, Pennsylvania

Date of Stay: June, 2018 - $51.00
Overall Rating:

Small & poorly laid out campground. Awkward sites that face each other - no privacy & are exposed to your neighbors music, smoke etc. Additionally disappointed with the restrooms - clogged toilets & cleanliness issues plus only 2 of 3 showers work in Ladies room - no sign posted to inform you that it is "out of order" so you will only find this out once naked & ready to shower. Pool was NOT heated. Rec room musty/moldy/mildew -allergy sufferers beware! We camped at Allentown KOA in a Travel Trailer.
