Horse Cave KOA, Horse Cave, Kentucky

Date of Stay: June, 2018 - $35.00
Overall Rating:

This is a nice park in Horse Cave, KY. The staff is very nice, and the park is pretty clean. We had a pull through that was easy to get in and out of, and had room for the trailer, and I could park the truck right by it. There is a highway right by the campground, so there is some road noise, but not bad if inside the camper. We were on the lower level, (it's tiered as it's on the site of a hill), and thus closest to the highway. Where we were there was no real shade, but it is only in that area that there's no trees (yet hopefully). Unfortunately driving to the campground you go through a sketchy looking area (abandoned building, and a wrecking yard). Once at the campground thought you forget about that part. Haven't tried the pool or WiFi as we have strong AT&T signal for our hotspot/cellphones. Haven't tried the local TV stations, as we use AppleTV. We've been twice this year, and have enjoyed ourselves both times. We camped at Horse Cave KOA in a Travel Trailer.

Tips for other Campers:

Kentucky Down Under is five minutes away (across the freeway), and they let you feed kangaroos out of your hand. Lots of neat caves to explore in the area as well (Mammoth Caverns is about a 15 minute drive to the State Park).
