Scarlett Knob Campground, Ohiopyle, Pennsylvania

Date of Stay: August, 2007 - $65.00
Overall Rating:

Ridiculous fees for what was available ... no recreation center ... no swimming pool ... seriously overcharged at "store" (for lack of a better word) ... restrooms (except toilets at office) were horrible ... they were stainless toilets with no running water and stunk so bad that there was a guy throwing up from the smell when he tried to use it ... the showers (which were attached to the smelly restrooms) were filthy and spider infested ... plus, after paying $130 to stay in a tent for 2 nights, we had to pay for showers ... I will never return to this campsite ... if it wasn't required that we had to pay ahead and there were no refunds, we would have NOT stayed the second night We camped at Scarlett Knob Campground in a Tent.

Pymatuning State Park, Jamestown, Pennsylvania

Date of Stay: June, 2007 - $24.00
Overall Rating:

Weren't many sites available as per the person that I spoke with to make reservations, but there were a lot of sites open when we got there ... we were assigned to a fairly wet site ... not sure why ... we used a high spot on the site to pitch a tent ... it all worked out ok ... restrooms and showers were clean ... park people were friendly ... close-by trails to lake and fishing ... will probably go back again. We camped at Pymatuning State Park in a Tent.

Overall a good experience, prices at the store were high, as are most ... restrooms were clean and showers were free ... tent sites were nice ... card to enter and exit thru gate ... close to a lot of things ... friendly people ... will probably camp there again. We camped at Deer Meadow Campground in a Tent.
