Old Settlers Park, Round Rock, Texas

Date of Stay: October, 2018 - $26.00
Overall Rating:

This is supposed to be first come, first serve. We pulled in and asked for a site with 50 amp. We were told there was only one where a previous customer had pulled up the pole. The site was very unlevel, so we said we would leave unless there was something else available. The managers wife said try 33. So we did. We had been on the road for 3 days in the rain. We set up, went to lunch and received call from manager, accusing us of just moving sites and trying to by pass him. He was too busy talking and not listening and accusing us while we were at lunch. He said site 33 was paid for in advance. How is that first come, first serve? He also said do not listen to my wife, she doesn't know anything about the park. So why is she answering the phone. Poor wife. So we had to scramble and fine somewhere to stay. The manager also allows people to stay more than 4 weeks , but tells you that is not possible. He pretty much left us hanging. Pot holes, uneven in many sites. Manager does not adhere to park regulations of first come, first serve. We camped at Old Settlers Park in a Motorhome.

Childress City Fair Park, Childress, Texas

Date of Stay: October, 2018 - $15.00
Overall Rating:

This is a beautiful city park with electric and water only. There are walking trails, pond with ducks. Would definitely stay here again. Only down side is there is no dump station in the area (including town). Stayed here in a motorhome. Self pay at iron ranger. While here for several days I noticed a couple people did not pay. My complaint is, if you stay in any city park you should pay or these towns will quit offering these conveniences. We camped at Childress City Fair Park in a Motorhome.

Craters of the Moon / Arco KOA , Arco, Idaho

Date of Stay: October, 2018 - $34.00
Overall Rating:

We stayed here while visiting craters of the moon national park. Staff was fantastic both when I called and when we checked in. Laundry facilities were clean and reasonably priced at $1.75 per load. It was nice and quiet as well. The only con was that there was a pasture with cows (which we enjoy) except it causes flies. Every time I opened my door I would get at least 5 flies. We camped at Craters of the Moon / Arco KOA in a Motorhome.

Coeur d'Alene Elks Lodge #1254 (Members Only), Coeur d'Alene, Idaho

Date of Stay: September, 2018 - $20.00
Overall Rating:

One of the biggest Elk Lodges we have camped. Sites are spacious, as we have 4 slides and 40ft motorhome. Plenty of room to park tow vehicle. The Elk members were very friendly and Tuesday is $5.00 burger nights. If you want a pin they charge for them. Would definitely stay here again. Saturday farmers market is within walking distance. The only negative is there are some homes which back up to the park and the dog owner allows their dog to bark. We camped at Coeur d'Alene Elks Lodge #1254 (Members Only) in a Motorhome.

Square Dance Center and Campground, Lolo, Montana

Date of Stay: September, 2018 - $32.00
Overall Rating:

Rate is for water and electric only.. $3.00 more for sewer. This park is absolutely beautiful. Lots of pine trees and the river is on back side of campground. Feels like a country setting and so quiet. Maximum stay allowed is 14 days on average. Would definitely stay here again. While there we drove down to the Idaho visitor center about 45 minutes away, then stopped and did a hike on the way back. So much to see in the area. We camped at Square Dance Center and Campground in a Motorhome.

Sunrise Campground, Bozeman, Montana

Date of Stay: September, 2018 - $40.00
Overall Rating:

We have stayed here numerous times over the years. The owners are very caring and friendly. They try to accommodate as much as possible. Since they do not have cable they have a huge selection of DVD's, which can be borrowed. They WiFi is great. All shopping is within a 5 mile radius. Stayed here in a motorhome with a tow vehicle. Will definitely stay here again. We camped at Sunrise Campground in a Motorhome.

AOK Camper Park, Amarillo, Texas

Date of Stay: September, 2017 - $15.00
Overall Rating:

No amenities and just east of Amarillo. Cash price. Sites on on dirt, so if it has rained it can get muddy. There are some long term, but kept neat. If no one is around gen use the honor system. The older gentleman that owns the place is friendly. Beats paying Forty dollars for just passing through. Good for night. May stay here again. We camped at AOK Camper Park in a Motorhome.

Nice sites. This was opened in May 2017. Close to Cortez, Delores, Mesa verde national park. Very friendly staff. Would definitely stay again when in area. Desert Willow RV Park, Van Horn, Texas

Date of Stay: October, 2014 - $12.00
Overall Rating:

Rate is cash payment, with a Passport America discount; credit card rate is $14. You just pick a spot until office is open. Laundry is $1.50 and is very clean. I checked out the showers/restrooms and they were very clean as well. The Wi-Fi here is fantastic. There is cable as well. This is a small park but very comfortable for the 2 nights we spent here. We would definitely stay here again. I also looked at the other parks in the area and think this is the best. Just a note, this is a small town with few amenities and the train does go through town but that was not a problem at night. We camped at Desert Willow RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

LoW-Hi RV Ranch, Deming, New Mexico

Date of Stay: October, 2014 - $17.00
Overall Rating:

Rate is Passport America. Staff is very friendly. Just a few miles off main road and well worth it. Park is very level, get. Local channels. Only downfall is they need more bandwidth, but we would definitely stay here again. Easy in, easy out. People staying here long term seemed very friendly. We camped at LoW-Hi RV Ranch in a Fifth Wheel.

Elk Pines RV Resort, Overgaard, Arizona

Date of Stay: October, 2014 - $20.00
Overall Rating:

Rate is Passport America. Wi-Fi is available by extra fee, $15.00 a week for one computer. This is a nice park but some sites would be hard to get into due to the trees. Satellite may also be difficult. This is mainly a monthly park with long term seasonals. There is a dollar store right across the street. 30 miles from main shopping area. Beautiful park and would stay again. We camped at Elk Pines RV Resort in a Fifth Wheel.

Black Bart's RV Park, Flagstaff, Arizona

Date of Stay: October, 2014 - $29.00
Overall Rating:

Easy access to I-40. There is a semi truck lot next door and could not hear anything. Good location for shopping, seeing the sights, or to get work done on vehicles. Several long term residents who need to clean their sites up. As an RV guest you are given 10% off a steak dinner. We did not eat there. Laundry facilities are clean. Would stay here again for a night or two. Some of the other parks in he area seemed difficult to get in to. We camped at Black Bart's RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Wasatch View Estates and RV Park, Ogden, Utah

Date of Stay: September, 2014 - $19.00
Overall Rating:

Rate was Passport America. We were lucky to find this place. It is also a mobile home park. The staffs extremely friendly. Wi-Fi is only available by the office. As they remove old trailers they are opening up sites for RVs. They is a curb to go over at most sites, but not bad. We had our trailer worked on til late in the day, so I called ahead and they waited for us to come in. Costco, Walmart and other shopping within 5 miles of park. Stayed here 2 nights and would stay here again. We camped at Wasatch View Estates and RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Mesa Verde RV Resort, Mancos, Colorado

Date of Stay: September, 2014 - $29.00
Overall Rating:

The people running this place are really nice. Our truck broke down and had to go to the dealer, and they worked with us with a late check-out. Laundry and showers are really clean. Their Wi-Fi is spotty in some places, but I was happy to have what signal there was. The rate was based on military ID. We have stayed here several times and would again. We camped at Mesa Verde RV Resort in a Fifth Wheel.
