Clinton / Knoxville North KOA, Clinton, Tennessee

Date of Stay: July, 2018 - $40.00
Overall Rating:

This is a nice little KOA. Huge pool with plenty of chairs and lounges, nice staff, good playground, and large grassy area. It was pretty quiet and easy in and out. While I could see RVs out of every window, none were so close that it was a problem. We found the entrance signage confusing. We had to go around a block and come back. We camped at Clinton / Knoxville North KOA in a Fifth Wheel.

Chattanooga North / Cleveland KOA, Cleveland, Tennessee

Date of Stay: July, 2018 - $44.00
Overall Rating:

It's a very nice park. It has all the usual KOA amenities plus some. The pool is huge and nice and deep. It also has a large pavilion with cooking facilities. They have a brand new dog park which is not even on their map yet. It has enough trees and large picnic and camping areas. The staff went over and above to assist. We had truck trouble and had to take it in for repairs. They could not accommodate us staying an extra day in our site, but found someone willing to move our rig if we needed it. We were able to get out on time though. The only drawback was traffic noise, but it's not so bad. There are a few things they could add such as music and a clock at the pool, and the dog park still needs some benches. I'm sure that will come. I would definitely stay there again. We camped at Chattanooga North / Cleveland KOA in a Fifth Wheel.

Renfro Valley RV Park, Mount Vernon, Kentucky

Date of Stay: July, 2018 - $31.00
Overall Rating:

We stayed in the creek side area. It is no frills, but does have long level sites, and a picnic table at each. Ours was broken. Very easy in and out. No trees for shade and no amenities whatsoever. Not the park's fault but the electric to this whole area has gone out twice since we arrived for about 20 minutes each time. The staff was great and we had no trouble finding our site. There were about five RVs here (Wednesday) and we are spread out. I would rather have been by the creek with an empty site between each camper. There's a little shade over there. It's nice enough. We would stay here again if we need an overnight. We camped at Renfro Valley RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Tips for other Campers:

Bring food since there's not much close by except fast food. It's close to Berea which is a cool little artsy and college town. We took our dogs to Brush Fork Park for a walk and splash in the creek.

Starke / Gainesville N.E. KOA, Starke, Florida

Date of Stay: June, 2018 - $45.00
Overall Rating:

Loved our stay here. The camp is clean, the staff friendly, and the sites are angled about 45 degrees from the road. This makes the sites very easy in and out, long enough for 40+ ft RV and pickup, and rigs are staggered so you're not like pieces of bread side by side. The dog park is just big enough for play without getting away from you and still has plenty of grass. It's not close to many attractions, but is nice in and of itself. We camped at Starke / Gainesville N.E. KOA in a Fifth Wheel.
